RUNNING PRACTICE: A collaboration between @r_willms and @runasyouare that seeks to explore the self through the art of running. Grateful to have contributed a series of handwritten pieces of typography and illustrations featured across @reigningchamp apparel and @walden hardware.
As I continue to refine my practice, I’ve developed a closed-loop system that guides the work: Discover, Design, Deploy.
We start by synthesizing the Brand DNA into an opportunity and strategic direction. Then, we develop a creative vision and set of provocations that shape the exploration. We translate this vision into a cohesive solution and refine it through close collaboration. Finally, we build the tools and documentation that enable us to share it with the world.
The cycle continues as we test, learn, and improve post-launch. Allowing us to examine solutions from multiple angles and enabling brands to adapt as they scale.
ARTIFICIAL ROMAN: A display typeface concept that draws inspiration from AI’s hallucinations and evolving imperfections. Featuring a selection of alternative characters and a generative specimen created in collaboration with AI. It was developed over a 48hr sprint and aims to capture the experimental spirit of merging design and technology.
After an incredible chapter at Apple, I’m now focused on my independent practice. Super grateful for the time in Cupertino and the opportunity to serve Apple’s customers across the world.
Today, I’m building brands and digital experiences with companies focused on design, technology and culture.
A big thank you to my founding clients and collaborators who have placed their trust in me early on. Together, we’re establishing a globally distributed model and creating work I’m truly looking forward to sharing.
