Man the year is flying by. Hard to believe we’ve entered May and coming up on the summer. I set a few goals for myself at the beginning of this year and this moment feels like a good time to reflect. We can get so caught up on the future, planning, scheduling, and then begin to lose sight of why we set our goals in the first place. So remember to take in each day fully. While I may not be close to achieving my goals, I know I’m taking steps forward. Hope you are too. For now - we’re back in training mode and racking up miles.

For the past year @go_kimm has been relentless in chasing her fitness and career goals. She’s put in so much work balancing life and training and never putting a limit on what she can achieve. There’s been ups and downs but that hasn’t stopped her from pushing forward. This weekend she races the Miwok 100k Relay and it’ll be a good test of her efforts and the work she’s put into herself. Sunset runs are back at @renegade_running ! If you’ve been asking about weekly community runs out of the shop, this is it! Pull up and enjoy the gradient skies with some miles out of the store and around Silverlake. Afterwards hang out, chat, and meet someone new.

TSP is always a whirlwind. It doesn’t leave much room to process everything that’s happening in the moment. Every year it’s different. This one was by far a favorite. Getting deep into Death Valley was unreal. It was magical to say the least being in that environment and witnessing the sun rise. The light hitting the mountain. Truly the happiest outdoors, with friends, running. Enjoy my favorite shots from this trip. It’s always a challenge figuring out the creative aspect of TSP since it’s flooded with so much imagery. But particularly proud of how I shot the environment and the grandeur of the space we were in.

Strong start and finish on the first full day. Currently somewhere past the Mojave and making our way to the second checkpoint. Had to pivot some but still making great progress. Looking forward to the second day but for now some sleep.

A blessing to be in community and to see so many friends out on the course. Shared a few miles with some and others I wished well as they gave it their all to secure PRs. This was my first time going out on to a marathon course to simply enjoy being present and to take up space. For my parents and loved ones. I love Los Ángeles and the people in it. Por el momento we rest and then the work continues. Seguimos à la próxima meta. Congrats to all the corredores. Continue to celebrate your achievement and continue to take up space.

I dedicate these 26.2 miles across the city of Los Angeles to you. Para los que siguen viviendo con miedo de salir y los que siguen arriesgándose para apoyar a sus familias. THE TRIALS -

Last night @longdistance.world held an alley cat/cross country style race with a few teams invited from different parts of LA. It was cool to see the idea that @oscar.r.tellez and @ryansung had a few months ago come to life. The point system was cool and with these races you really never know who is going to win. At the end @keeprunninsantaana came out with the W and @goodvibes_tc in second place. It was such a close race. Here are a few of my favorite moments. Let’s keep the rest of the LAM celebrations going! T-2 days till race day!

Overdue recap of my 20 mile and 18 mile long runs. Not much to it but remembering that this shit doesn’t come easy. There’s so much strength in numbers and being surrounded by folks all chasing the same goal. You’ve made it past the peak weeks of training and we’re almost ready to toe the start line. Continue to lean on your friends. It’s been really dope to see the collaboration between run groups and I hope to see more of it. I just want LA to thrive and the people in it too! 3 weeks out!

Some images shot of the new Eleos 2 by 361 USA. A cushioned daily trainer meant to keep you comfortable during your recovery and easy runs. Clean and simple imagery was the goal. Stuff that you could use in a variety of ways. Ended the shoot with a cold plunge in the ocean and the water felt perfect. 🌊🌞. Thanks to @trangadoanvo and @adrianxvillarreal for the help with this. And @behindtherun for bringing me on to shoot this.

Had a great time getting to document the ACG takeover of Satellite. Started off with a Friday dinner and checking out the ACG installation. Followed by a trail run the next day and a party in the evening with @joekay from @soulection .
