Leva tempo para compreender a missão de uma obra no mundo. Leva tempo para acessar suas camadas, e é na ação, no fazer, que o caminho começa a se revelar. Sou profundamente grata pela tarde de ontem, no encerramento da exposição Under the Red Tent, na Camp Gallery, com curadoria de Aurora Molina. Ontem, eu e Aurora fomos responsáveis por conduzir o fechamento de uma exposição construída com tanta profundidade, cuidado e significado pelo nosso coletivo, Red Thread Studio. A Rosa dos Ventos foi ativada, uma obra criada em 2018 com minha grande amiga de infância Aline Gonet. Ali algo se abriu. Perceber essa ligação feminina como um dispositivo de reconexão, de fortalecimento, de passagem. Um espaço onde podemos dar passagem, ritualizar, sustentar umas às outras. Foi a primeira vez que eu entrei na obra. Antes, havia um desconforto, um limiar que eu não conseguia atravessar. Ontem, atravessei. E dentro, senti algo muito profundo. Outras mulheres também sentiram desejo de atravessar esse “cordão umbilical”, sustentadas pelo cuidado do grupo, pelo nosso cuidado. E, nesse gesto, puderam elaborar sensações, experiências… como se algo pudesse ser deixado para trás. Como se, ali, fosse possível ritualizar renascer dentro da própria vida.

A Final Gathering & First Stitch This Sunday, April 26th, The CAMP Gallery and the Red Thread Art Studio are coming together for a final event celebrating the wonderful community space that, like the Red Tent itself, has been nourished as a feminine gathering of care and shared wisdom throughout the past two months. These two artists will come together in a performative conversation inspired by the Compass Rose and encouraging us to find our direction through the sharing of wisdom with each other. The performance is both a farewell and a beginning. The Spring 2026 S.U.R.G.E. Review Week for its graduate and undergraduate students. Partnering with @fiuart at @fiuinstagram the Department of Art + Art History presents this department-wide intensive dedicated to critique, exhibition, experimentation, and dialogue. S.U.R.G.E. Week runs from April 13–17. During this week, regular class routines shift to create space for deeper creative engagement: students present work-in-progress, install exhibitions, receive sustained feedback, and participate in conversations that push ideas forward. This is not a break from the semester. It is an intensive moment of reflection, exchange, and creative momentum. The program opened with an activation led by artist Robertha Haddad Blatt. This proposition is part of my research as an MFA student in Visual Arts and Photography at Barry University @barryuphoto @barryufinearts Guri Guri is a relational device in which each element is calibrated to open a field of encounter, a space of trust and openness where the group can perceive itself, self-regulate, and discover what each participant carries within their own repertoire of gestures, impulses, and interests. It unfolds through play, where spontaneity is valued as a force of aliveness. Throughout the session with the students, it was possible to feel this quality being gradually established in the relational dynamic. There is something deeply moving and powerful about living an experience like this with young art students. Thank you for all participants!! A proposta se desdobra em jogo, onde a espontaneidade é valorizada como força de avivamento. Ao longo das sessões com os alunos, foi muito potente sentir essa qualidade sendo instaurada na dinâmica relacional. The next edition of Performative Practices and Clinical Experience begins tomorrow, on March 11, at @red.thread.art.studio.miami . The program consists of 6 meetings, held every Wednesday, inviting participants to explore performance as a poetic gesture and the body as a living territory of creation. Through ritual, presence, and collective listening, sensations, memories, and emotions are transformed into action, creating a space where art emerges as a shared experience and each gesture becomes a possibility of birth. This is an ongoing research I have been developing throughout my master’s program at @barryuniversity which continues to unfold and deepen with each proposed meeting. Práticas Solares de Sobrevivência [Solar Survival Practices], 2025 Barry University, Miami Shores, FL

Inspirado na forma como as crianças se relacionam com o mundo, o projeto convida ao contato com percepções fragmentadas, memórias inscritas no corpo e gestos ainda sem nome. Ali, o brincar se torna linguagem, o encontro vira método e o afeto, uma tecnologia de sobrevivência. — Inspired by the ways children relate to the world, the work invites contact with fragmented perceptions, embodied memories, and gestures not yet fully formed. Here, play becomes language, encounter becomes method, and affection turns into a survival technology.

Práticas Solares de Sobrevivência nasce como um exercício coletivo. Abrir espaço para si , deixar o corpo guiar a experiência, o jogo e as negociações. Entre esculturas, fotografias e ações performativas, o trabalho propõe um espaço de acolhimento: um território onde corpos diversos podem experimentar juntos, brincar e se reconhecer. Preservar o encantamento, a curiosidade e a disposição para viver aparece aqui como gesto político: uma forma de resistência suave, solar e inventiva. — Solar Survival Practices emerges as a collective exercise of listening, play, and care. Through sculptures, photographs, and performative actions, the project reimagines the museum as a welcoming space: a place where diverse bodies gather to experiment, play, and connect. By honoring enchantment, curiosity, and the willingness to live, the project affirms these qualities as political gestures in soft, solar forms of resistance and creation.
