But for me, one of the most meaningful parts of "An Unusual Suspect" is this: I brought my students with me.
Three former students were hired for paying jobs on this film. Two students from my directing class were able to shadow me on set.
It’s one thing to teach students how to write and direct in the classroom — it’s another to step onto a set together and create something great.
This extends my pedagogy beyond the four walls of the classroom.
