ative from Argentina, Rodrigo Avalos is a bandoneon player and composer. He has done numerous international tours and has played at prestigious venues including Teatro Colón, Centro Cultural Kirchner, Usina del Arte, National Intangible Heritage Center in South Korea, Haus Der Musik in Austria, Elon University and Columbia University. He has also played with distinguished artists including Victor Lavallén, José Colángelo, Roberto Alvarez, Susana Rinaldi, among others.
He has recorded and produced several albums including Bach en Bandoneón with the Avalos-Solera Duo, La Carmen with his own twelve musicians orchestra, Orquesta Típica La Carmen, and A Medianoche with his violin-bandoneon duo.
In 2023 he won the First Prize as a bandoneon player at the "Che Bandoneón International Competition" awarded by the Argentine Tango Society at the Stowe Tango Music Festival in Vermont. That year he was selected for a scholarship by the Fondo Nacional de las Artes in Argentina to develop his compositions.
Rodrigo is also an educator and serves as bandoneon professor at the Colegio Nacional de Buenos Aires Tango Orchestra.

The @avalossoleraduo Summer 2025 tour has begun! Our performances are as follows:
1. 7/19 from 12pm to 3pm Salesforce Milonga with the Cristal Quartet.
2. 7/19 starting 8pm at the Dome (reservation needed). We'll be premiering new string quartet compositions.
