Today was the last day to see Eventually Everything Connects: Mid-Century Modern Design in the US @cranbrookartmuseum . I can’t thank all the people there who made it happen, especially @andrewblauvelt@bridget.bartal and @e_a_ryan who I spent countless hours with working on the accompanying book.
I’m happy to report that everything continues to connect as @acid_free and @millerknoll funded the production of these posters I designed and subsequently printed. Huge thanks to Amy as well as @daviddodde of @houseindustries for burning that big old screen and to my in-laws @keithduncan60510 and @tesssduncan for letting me take over their basement for a few weeks. From what I understand the show has been a massive success and I’m personally very happy with how the book came out on the other side.
Posters are 21.25 x 28.75 in an edition of 500 on @frenchpaperco banana split.
Excited to share this book that I had the pleasure of working on over the last year. I want to specifically thank @andrewblauvelt for the opportunity to work on such a meaningful project, with so much history beginning in a place that has meant to much to me over the last 5 years @cranbrook_art . With the book taking a more expansive and diverse look at mid-century design in the US, the content really feels timely. It was a joy to work on the whole system, down to each individual essay and photo. It ended up being 465 pages with just under 400 photos and it reads like a really wonderful textbook. I also want to congratulate and thank @bridget.bartal for not only doing the best job, but for being a wonderful human to work with throughout the whole project. Through my time spent with the words I met all the authors, but recently have had the pleasure of attaching faces to the names, I’d also like to thank them.
