Started an awesome record this past weekend in Philadelphia with a band I cannot mention yet. 😬 We just wrapped drums and bass, guitars and vocals coming in hot next month!
What I can mention though, is that @retrocitystudios is the place to be in Philly! Such a great studio with a wealth of awesome people involved and gear to die for.
Grateful for this opportunity and super pumped on the project so far.

All natural, no computers used anywhere in the process. Tons of work but also really rewarding. Special thanks to Ruby and co for being an amazing band and good sports. Tape delay appreciation post. We’ve had the Roland chorus echo sre-555 for some time now but over the summer we added the classic re-201. In a modern world of amazing plugins, nothing beats the real thing.
We recently finished installing our new A room console. A 32 channel API 1608 with automation. As much as we loved our Neve 8128 we felt that this desk would better fit our needs moving forward. Swapping consoles meant a ton of work including all new cabling, furniture patchbays bays and layout, and the most challenging task of removing the old Neve. But we had great help from friends and fam (@jakehoffpauir@matty_muir@daveklyman@a2ron02@deanbutler_43@81seriescom@eastairyrecordingsofficial ). Although it was a lot of work, it was well worth it. This console is in mint condition and is both amazing sonically, and has tons of flexibility including automation for both DAW control and mixing analog. Thanks to David at @soniccircus for helping make it all happen.
