Last weekend I finally had the chance to exhibit some new work of the "Palpability Series", which was partly made during my time in Copenhagen and now shown publicly for the first time in "(e)merging - becoming apparent" by @metlery_
As part of the Metlery collective I shared a space with the incredible @jonahschefels and Johannes Twielemeier during the @werkroute_aachen .

From the 1.10.2025 to the 30.03.2026 Helen Clara Hemsley and Lenard Requate have engaged in a very special project under the title "Creating & Curating". First structured as an internship it turned into a more complex collaborative experience.
Both have written short texts about our time together to reflect on the time spent together and how each of us sees the trajectory of Lenard's future.
This is not an internship report but more a glimpse into a collaboration that will keep growing beyond those 6 months. There are upcoming projects which we are already excited for! So stay tuned!

Two countries, two biographies - one shared narrative.
Helen Clara Hemsley (@helenclarahemsley ) and Mette Saabye(@objectsofdesire ) draw on their childhood and youth in the 70s and 80s, weaving together personal experiences and global events. Their jewellery reflects both: connection and distance - gently filled with care and respect.
Opening Thursday, 9 April, 17.00 - 19.00.
'Complementing reality' is supported by the Danish Arts Foundation, Danmarks Nationalbank's Anniversary Foundation and Copenhagen Goldsmiths' Guild.

"It takes hands to build a house, but only love can build a home"
Our hands been building this house of jewellery for quite some time now and always I'm in awe of the love that I feel with my friends, teachers and participants in the house. Now at the "1st Summit of International Jewellery Classes" I also felt the love for jewellery and our community from all the other students and visitors who I've engaged with in the past week.
So thank you to all the sweet humans that made this whole week so memorable through shared thoughts, conversations, dinners, drinks and dancing!

It was the greatest honor to assist @helenclarahemsley and @objectsofdesire during the process for the Exhibition "Complementing Reality". After a lot of making, thinking and curating this wonderful project was finally shown to the public during @munichjewelleryweek .

With munich jewelery week just around the corner we as Helenard (@helenclarahemsley | @requate.obj ) wanna show you some of the pieces from our first collaboration series "20 Somethings". Working on the premise of the materials, new narratives and aesthetic conversations arise through collaboration.

This piece humorously pays tribute to the unexpected things that make you laugh and give you confidence.

This piece celebrates the past as well as the future in both our lives and practices.

Textile, similar to jewellery, connects people with their own stories, history and culture. For the last two Mondays @helenclarahemsley has taught a course on how to create contemporary textile jewellery with assistance from @requate.obj at @skalshojskole .
With the Topic "Big Things, Little Things" the students were encouraged to examine their life experiences and translate them into jewellery objects that combine the major events of life with the minor moments.
Altogether diverse reflections on personal stories surfaced and took shape in this process, we couldn't be more proud of the students for engaging with this medium of textile expression!

To cut, to sew, to write, to sketch, to embroider, to meet, to plan, to curate.
As the goldsmith has their bench so do we have our tables where we work together on a multitude of pieces and projects. The table becomes a huge mindmap of different materials, utensils, information and a lot of needles. All that will then be combined into the next contemporary jewelry object.

CREATING AND CURATING
Lenard Requate and Helen Clara Hemsley met in Munich in March 2025, and in October they started working together. This is not a regular intern and maker situation, and there is a lot of learning going both ways. The collaboration is defined by two branches – creating and curating. A vital balance of hands-on making and curating theory, where we have been piecing together a kind of curating blueprint and planning future projects together.
In the first picture you can see our first collaborative project "20 Somethings", in the other two you can see two of our shared passions: art exhibitions and cake!

As a queer person, how much of yourself do you reveal? Glory on Glory on Human exists in a constant interplay between the need to be open and the fear of the wrong looks that come with this openness. It is thus simultaneously a dividing barrier of anonymity, communication about sexuality/intimacy, and a kaleidoscope of queer love and community. Since the constellation of the object is determined by the person wearing it, the object is only complete with them.
