We've been blown away again this year with the number of young people taking part in ReelLIFE SCIENCE 2025, from 86 primary schools, secondary schools and youth groups from 25 counties across Ireland.
Where will our winners come from this year?
Today is ReelLIFE SCIENCE Deadline Day and already more than 50 schools and groups from 22 counties have sent in their entries, made by over 1000 young people! Judging starts next week so best of luck to all the participants!

This year, more than 2,300 young people took part in 99 schools and youth groups around Ireland and Northern Ireland, producing over 300 short science videos on a huge range of topics, from nettles to nanotechnology and from social media to skeletons. #scienceweek #galwayscience #STEM

Another amazing year for ReelLIFE SCIENCE comes to an end with our Awards Ceremony and Video Screenings in @universityofgalway as part of the 27th @galwaysciencefestival .

Come along to the ReelLIFE SCIENCE Cinema at the @galwaysciencefestival in @universityofgalway next Sunday to watch this year's best short science videos. Tickets available from www.galwayscience.ie.
We've been blown away by the number of @reellifescience entries again this year, with over 300 STEM videos produced by 98 schools and groups in 26 counties around Ireland.
Our amazing team of volunteers now have the enjoyable but unenviable task of finding the very best ones!

@ReelLifeScience STEM Ambassador @maeryodonnell visited Kilrickle NS in Loughrea and Holy Family NS in Rathcoole recently to speak with students about her love of sport and STEM.
Some of their insightful questions for Mary included:
How do we know if there’s sound in space?
How do we cancel out noise on aeroplanes?
How do you make rocket fuel?
How do speakers work?
Do engineers need to be good at art?
Our next STEM Ambassador visit was to Gaelscoil de hÍde in Oranmore, by Alánna O'Brien, a final year Geoscience student and Sustainability Ambassador at @universityofgalway
Rang a 3 students asked some amazing questions like:
-Where did the primary colours come from?
-Why hair grows and isn’t it as strong as nails?
-Who picks the colour eyes we have?
-Why is the desert not turned into 1 big sheet of glass
-How plants drink water?
-How is glass made?
-Can you use rice to fix phones?
-Why do we have 24 hours in the day?
