Laughter. Tears. A whole bunch of notes. There’ll be some no sound moments, too. @auriformtheband is scheduled to wrestle @nativeisles to see who plays first on April 30th @blueportlandmaine .
Extremely proud to be brought on to this film by Josh Lane and the rest of the Hearts of Pine crew. Super cool that Landon has put his face and support behind such an inspiring team. Definitely some magic these days in Portland. Not exactly sure what is happening but in a time of such division, this team has brought us together as Mainers. Humbled to be given some creative control to score create all the sound in this spot. Thanks Hearts of Pine from a true fan!
Additionally, shoutout to Andrew Olson and Lewiston, Maine's own @bourgeois_guitars . Andrew got me into a new L/12 S Paniolo guitar which is featured in this score. Best sounding acoustic guitar I've ever played. Such an amazing instrument and honored to be part of the Bourgeois team as a sponsored artist. Thank you Dana and Andrew!
Real proud to work on this short film with @colbycollege . Excellent experience as always working with @jedijasper and @gabevsouza . Creating a score for this was a challenge to complement each section of the edit but in the end, I think we arrived where we needed to be. Thanks for letting me run with the music, sound design and mix! Also, thanks for choosing custom music over stock Jasper!

Grateful to team up with Rove gang again working with @nobull on their launch for the Drive Ripstop, a hybrid training shoe. Incredible 2D + 3D motion design on this spot and the creative team wanted to capture the sound of the shoe (ie: fabrics, the sounds of the shoe bending, etc) to support the visuals. So we mic'd up a shoe and incorporated it into the sound design.
Thanks so much to Rove for allowing me to chop up the music and weave textures into the beat to create new textures. Really love how this one came out!
Thanks to: @whalenmattthew@cherrylhanson_bull 🙌 at NoBull and the incredible team at @rove.beyond

Spotify updated its user agreement at the end of August, and if you're an artist on the platform it's important to be aware. While I'm not a lawyer, the new terms seem designed to give Spotify unprecedented control over our music.
It's a really cool move to strategically monopolize our work (again), potentially to sell entire music catalogs to AI companies for training their models. This is a multi-billion dollar industry, and if this is their goal, it's another giant step backward for all creatives.
I understand the platform is convenient because all your music is on there and everyone uses it, but why support a company that doesn't respect you? Furthermore the sound quality sucks. I urge at least my friends to read the new terms and seriously consider leaving the site and potentially pulling your music. People need to stand up to their bullshit. it would be incredible to see a major artist, like Taylor Swift (who has stood up to record labels in the past) make the first move. Part of the Spotify Terms of Use statement below...
'Accordingly, you hereby grant to Spotify a non-exclusive, transferable, sublicensable, royalty-free, fully paid, irrevocable, worldwide license to reproduce, make available, perform and display, translate, modify, create derivative works from, distribute, and otherwise use any such User Content through any medium, whether alone or in combination with other Content or materials, in any manner and by any means, method or technology, whether now known or hereafter created, in connection with the Spotify Service. Where applicable and to the extent permitted under applicable law, you also agree to waive, and not to enforce, any "moral rights" or equivalent rights, such as your right to be identified as the author of any User Content, including Feedback, and your right to object to derogatory treatment of such User Content.'
Very fortunate to partner together with @colbycollege and @gabevsouza on this teaser for an upcoming big announcement. Sharp video production and edit as always from Gabe and assistant editor @jedijasper
Thanks for trusting me with the audio direction on this!
