POT For URBAPHONIA 2026, @pot__table curates the activities of the Social Table — a participatory installation where food, design, and shared gesture come into relation. At its centre, a steel table designed by NM3 hosts an organic sculptural structure created in collaboration with @weronika_wolinska , made of everyday objects, vegetables, flowers, and dried plant materials. Removed from their usual function, these elements are suspended within an evolving composition that reflects on production, standardisation, and transformation — in dialogue with the industrial history of Lingotto and the logic of the assembly line. Visitors are invited to take part in this process by adding small organic assemblages, turning the structure into a living and collective work. NM3 For URBAPHONIA 2026, @nm3.xyz joins the edition contributing a selection of functional pieces that help stage the social table curated by @pot__table . NM3 works across products, interiors, and custom furniture with a practice grounded in modernism, functionalism, and a precise attention to material integrity. Through this collaboration, the brand enters URBAPHONIA as a design presence that supports one of the festival’s shared spaces and the way the space is inhabited and participated. DREADLION FIRESTARTER At the preview, @dreadlionsound introduced one of the most physical frequencies of URBAPHONIA 2026: deep low-end, precise sound, and a presence rooted in sound system culture. Born in Bolzano in 2024, Dreadlion has rapidly become a reference within the Italian DIY circuit. Less than two weeks to URBAPHONIA 2026. These images return to one of the edition’s core ideas: to hold together. To hold together means more than proximity. It means staying in relation, to make space for difference, and to build community through shared presence, tension, and exchange. @urbaphonia torna a occupare uno degli spazi più iconici della città: Pista 500, sul tetto della Pinacoteca Agnelli. Il festival ideato dal collettivo torinese @recalloff raddoppia la durata e si espande su due giornate, 23 e 24 maggio, con un format che mette in relazione musica, architettura, pratiche urbane e comunità. Urbaphonia si rinnova ma il claim resta lo stesso: “THE CITY GENERATES SOUND. SOUND GENERATES THE CITY.” Una dichiarazione programmatica che attraversa tutta la line-up e la costruzione dell’evento, trasformando la Pista 500 in un ambiente sonoro diffuso fatto di live, dj set, visual, talk e installazioni immersive. Anche quest’anno l’ingresso sarà gratuito con registrazione su DICE, scelta che conferma la volontà del progetto di mantenere aperta e trasversale la propria dimensione pubblica. La programmazione musicale alterna nomi internazionali e realtà locali, muovendosi tra sperimentazione elettronica, UK bass, jazz contemporaneo e club culture. Tra gli highlight della line-up ci sono Ben Vince, sassofonista e compositore britannico vicino all’universo AD93, che presenterà il nuovo album Street Druid, e Cooly G, figura chiave dell’estetica Hyperdub e del suono UK bass, al ritorno live dopo un lungo periodo di pausa e per la prima volta a Torino. E poi il debutto torinese di Canzonieri, progetto di Emiliano Maggi e Cosimo Damiano che intreccia strumenti acustici, elettronica e costruzione visiva, il nucleo della label Gang of Ducks con Heith, XIII ed Eter Dex e nomi come Maara, Eddie Dark, helen island, PALINDROME, Sam Sala e Sandra Mason. LUCIA REBOLINO / RICCARDO PETRINI On Saturday 23 May, @luciarebolino and @richipetrini will present ‘While You Were Sitting Still’ at URBAPHONIA 2026 through a live talk, opening a project that will then remain active throughout the event. Starting from the Madhouse fairground ride — a device that holds the body nearly still while a furnished room rotates around it — ‘While You Were Sitting Still’ reflects on engineered illusion as an unexpected precedent for AI world models. Through simulation and real-time systems, the project opens questions around perception, persistent memory, game logics, and the production of synthetic environments. Lucia Rebolino and Riccardo Petrini bring this work into the programme through a shared practice shaped by computational aesthetics, simulation, and critical research. ITALIA90 TAKEOVER For URBAPHONIA 2026, @italia90_ enters the programme through a dedicated takeover that expands its practice into a musical dimension. For the occasion, Italia90 presents the debut of Before Midi, the new live project by @barabbah.it and @viziale_ : an electro-research duo from Turin whose work unfolds between sound experimentation, rhythmic storytelling, warm analog textures, and electro-acoustic elements.
