Saturday’s event was so incredibly special, I get a little emotional when I reflect on it. On Saturday afternoon 65 extraordinary humans joined together in downtown SF to celebrate grassroots climate action.
We learned from the panelists and from one another, listened to and provided feedback on the amazing Everyday Climate Champions podcast, heard live music from Eco Soul about how sexy heat pumps can be, and ate delicious vegan sandwiches from Ikes.
Our sponsors came through in big and small ways with our event reaching over 30,000 people, and putting Trellis on the map as SF’s home base for climate action. The event was such a smash, we are already planning the next one! Stay tuned for details.

Email or call your senator today and tell them climate needs to be their #1 priority for us to survive and through solving climate we solve many other problems. It’s free to do, fast, you can do it from your desk or couch or bed, and if enough of us do it it makes a big impact. This is what I just wrote to @alexpadilla4ca my senator.
Dear Senator Padilla,
We need climate to be our number 1 issue or we will run out of time to solve all the other issues. We are on the brink of human extinction and already feeling the effects of climate change. It’s going to get worse fast if we don’t all stand up and do what is necessary to stop fossil fuel extraction and use, monoculture agriculture that depletes the soil, plastics acidifying the oceans and destroying reefs and fauna. It’s time for bold action!
