...and the Game Designers Meetup is a wrap! We had some great discussions about self-publishing a game, the philosophy of game design, mass market vs hobby games, and crowdfunding!

🌱 What could a regenerative food future look like for the Bay Area by 2036?
This month, we are excited to co-host a gathering in the Bay Area with Work on Climate to explore what a regenerative food future could look like for our region.
Through storytelling, systems thinking, and dialogue, we’ll examine real Bay Area food initiatives and imagine what thriving food systems might look like by 2036.
This work is deeply connected to what we’re building through From Soil To Soul; amplifying the stories, leadership, and land-based wisdom shaping regenerative futures.
If you're working in climate, food, policy, design, tech, farming, or community organising, we’d love to have you in the room.
🌱 Let’s reimagine the future of food together.

Grapevines are bursting! This weekend, we planted some companion plants along the perimeter to bring in beneficial insects, including lavender, rosemary, and white yarrow. We also trimmed the plants to encourage them to grow up along the trellis. 🍷🐝
It’s been a while since I posted anything as I’ve been trying to detox from social media, however I have something exciting I’ve been working on to share with you all. I created a board game called Regeneration: A collaborative game to solve our global ecological and climate crisis. I’m in the process of beta testing and hoping to publish it soon. Special thanks to everyone who’s played so far, especially my amazingly supportive partner @imthekat_mua who hasn’t missed a chance to play.
Today we got an insider tour of Arcosanti, an experimental town located in the high desert of Arizona, approximately 70 miles north of metropolitan Phoenix. It aims to be a prototype arcology, integrating architecture and ecology with a focus on values such as frugality, ecological accountability, experiential learning, and minimizing environmental impact. Operated by the Cosanti Foundation, Arcosanti seeks to provide an alternative to mass consumerism, urban sprawl, resource depletion, and social isolation. Over the course of 50 years, thousands of volunteers have contributed their time and skills to construct multi-use structures that support various activities and cultural programming at the site.
We’ve got grapes! 🍇
Almost a year ago, we set out to plant an organic regenerative vineyard. We started on a bare plot of land, with barely any vegetation due to previous disturbances. This past weekend, we got to walk down the rows and watch our little plants thrive. There is truly nothing like the dopamine hit of seeing the product of your own hard work.
Learning to design green buildings and how to use software to do it. These are photorealistic renders in Lumion of my “living” tiny home design in Revit. You can’t quite tell from the photos, but this tiny home will be designed to be all electric (powered by solar), capture rainwater and recycle greywater, produce zero waste, use all non-toxic materials and be zero net carbon. Hopefully I’ll have the skills to build it in a few years and travel around in it with @imthekat_mua
Learned so much this past week at the @santacruzpermaculture Advanced PDC. Most importantly, I got a lot more opportunity to practice my design skills with daily design exercises. Feeling ready to go out and tackle some real life permaculture designs.
Visiting Paicines Ranch, a cutting-edge regenerative ranch using the holistic land management techniques developed by Allan Savory. These sheep are grazing under grape vines. #regenerativeagriculture #holisticlandmanagement
