As I look back on 2025, there were so many beautiful highlights, and also moments where my heart built resilience. I spent a lot of time thinking deeply about what I want the next chapter of my life to look like. I turned 40 in October and made the decision to run for office while surrounded by friends and family. That choice has stretched me, humbled me, and reminded me how powerful it is to say yes to community and to your self. I’m putting my heart into this race because I want to make sure working people have a real voice at City Hall, and that the people who keep this city running, from small business owners to workers, caregivers, and neighbors who show up every day, are seen, heard, and respected. Since launching this campaign, I’ve been balancing a full-time job at City Hall, campaigning before and after work and on weekends, and teaching Pilates. It’s been a lot, but it’s also been deeply grounding and meaningful. Along the way, I’ve made new connections, reconnected with old friends, and felt so supported by community. As I step into 2026, I’m carrying both the tenderness and the fire. I will continue to bring the heart and passion to everything that I do. I’m incredibly grateful for the lessons, the love, and the people who keep showing up for me. I’m looking forward to new adventures, deeper purpose, and continuing to grow into the grounded, brave, badass version of myself that I know I am and am still becoming. Thank you, 2025. Then Mandarin school on Saturday mornings before commuting back to Chinatown in the afternoons for more school. So yes, I speak Cantonese, I speak Mandarin, and I can read and write in Chinese. I also took algebra in 8th grade, class of 1999 baby. The billionaires behind GrowSF have a lot of lies about me because they’re only good at wasting money to spread misinformation. Here’s one thing they missed: I spent basically every Saturday of my childhood in school. I doubt they did. But sure. Tell me more about how I’m against education.
