I have the great honor and privilege of returning to @birdlandjazz this week to play with Ron Carter‘s Great Big Band, as part of The Maestro’s annual October residency at Birdland. Playing with Maestro Carter @roncarterbassist is always a thrilling and inspiring experience. Here is a brief clip from my solo on Ron’s composition “Cut and Paste“ from the 2023. Sadly, that was the last time I had the opportunity to play with the great Russell Malone. Two sets a night, Wednesday-Saturday (Oct 29-Nov 1, 2025). I am thrilled to announce that "Monkey Bars", the third (and final) single from my upcoming trio album with Maestro @roncarterbassist Ron Carter and the remarkable @lewisnashdrums Lewis Nash is now available for streaming on all major music platforms. The full album, "Grand Company", drops November 17, 2023, on @cellarlive .
