After 10 months of construction, the newly reimagined Shattuck Schoolhouse at Noble and Greenough School is officially open. Originally built in 1922 as Nobles’ primary academic building, Shattuck has long evolved alongside the needs of its community. This latest transformation—executed in partnership with @rawnarch —continues that legacy, shaping a space designed for today’s learners.
The renewed building centers connection, collaboration, and support for students and educators alike. Light-filled classrooms and flexible common areas foster daily interaction, while Gleason Hall now serves as a vibrant hub for gathering, study, and community life.
Key elements of the renovation include:
• A full interior renovation and reconfiguration of the existing academic building, including extensive interior demolition and modernization of systems and spaces while preserving the building’s historic framework
• Sustainability upgrades, including energy-efficient systems, triple-glazed windows, and recycled materials, reinforcing the building’s long-term stewardship

We are excited to unveil the designs for the future home of the new Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC)!
Designed by BIG - Bjarke Ingles Group and William Rawn Associates, Architects, Inc. with HASTINGS. The new TPAC includes four performance spaces: the multi-function Grand Broadway theater, a dance and opera hall, a flexible black box theater, and an intimate cabaret space - as well as rehearsal studios and classrooms. As TPAC transitions from its current location downtown, the 307,000 sq-ft center will serve as the new home of the Nashville Ballet, Nashville Opera, and Nashville Repertory Theatre while creating venues for traveling Broadway shows, dance performances, and community events.

Our building is the feature story in this month's issue of Modern Steel Construction Magazine.
"Building over and around an existing frame is like starting a game of Tetris with a nearly fully screen, but an expansion to Vanderbilt University's business school showed it's still possible to make new pieces fit."
Deeply proud to call such an inspiring environment home.
