As a freelancer who makes a living creating visuals for others, it can be difficult to find balance between myself as an artist and the brands I create for.
I went through a period of burnout—stuck in a cycle, losing passion, questioning why I even do this. Shoots tend to bring out the worse parts of my ADHD. My version of efficient editing can be a toxic relationship of insomnia, hyperfocus and isolation. Deadlines keep getting shorter. AI is taking over. Organic iPhone content is king so why do I even have all of this gear?
But I took a step back. Blocked out the noise. Spent time finding myself again. Rediscovering old hobbies. Letting the people in my life ground me. Appreciating the love I found when I was only 19 years old.
The cycle is broken.
So Re: Self became my version of a creative video dump. Part self portrait, part emotional check-in—an attempt to reconnect with the version of me that created out of love and curiosity.
This is where I’ve been, and this is me returning 🤙🏽

The squad pulled me to film some content while @jackiehillperry was doing her album cover shoot. Just grab some shots while @matthewwarren and @kevin.hackett do their magic.
