Of Liminal Threads, the solo exhibition that marked the culmination of Ranim AlHalaky’s journey with the Tashkeel Critical Practice Programme (CPP). Through textiles, cyanotype, and layered fragments, the exhibition traced themes of memory, belonging, and home — transforming personal histories into a living archive of material and meaning. Congratulations to Ranim Al Halaky @ranimhalaky on finishing her Winter Residency at the Delfina Foundation @delfinafdn in London. She was selected through the open call for Syrian artists, with the generous support of the Rambourg Foundation @rambourg.foundation . A residency that brings together artists across geographies and practices—creating space for reflection, conversation, and new directions.

Excited to be back with D&AD — this time as a @newblood_dandad judge on the Affinity & Canva project brief. It was a great experience as always, between meeting a great bunch of fellow judges, overlooking some exciting submissions, and debating over others! Side note; I’d love to see more project submissions from the Middle East and the wider region next time! Please submit and put your work and voice out there!! — The D&AD New Blood Awards is a prestigious, global creative competition for emerging talent (students/recent graduates) to tackle real-world client briefs and gain industry recognition.
