** BYRON THE AQUARIUS! **
When Byron talks about music, it always comes back to feeling. Live frequencies, real musicianship and creating from a genuine love of the craft ~ and you can hear that in every set.
A classically trained keys player with releases on labels like Sound Signature, Eglo Records, Axis Records and more, Byron The Aquarius moves between jazz-soaked house, soulful melodies and deep club rhythms with a style that feels loose, musical and deeply human.
Warm grooves, live-feeling energy and one of those sets that slowly pulls the whole courtyard ~ the kind of night that feels right at home in Paradise.

I fucking love wine, music and connecting people.
After working in the wine and hospitality industries for 10+ years (and annoying as many of you as possible across countless venues), I thought it was time to have a crack at doing my own thing.
I’ve been incredibly lucky to meet and work with a lot of amazing people and places - growers, brewers, winemakers, distillers, bars & restaurants, operators and everyone in between - many of whom I’m fortunate enough to now call mates. I’m really proud to finally be in a position where I can work directly with them under my own flag.
Onda Collective is the coalescence of everything I’ve learnt, every glass of wine I've poured and all the people I’ve met since I first walked into this industry as a little craft beer nerd at Mane Liquor (what feels like 50 years ago). I’ll be focusing primarily on working with a small handful of Australian producers I’ve built relationships with throughout my career, alongside consulting with hospitality operators and venues - from drinks programs and beverage training, through to playlists, events and collaborations.
This idea has been rattling around in my head for a few years now, and I’m finally putting it in motion (despite being equal parts terrified and excited).
Thanks to everyone who has been along for the ride so far.
Wish me luck!

Yesterday, I had to make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye to Matey.
I got her when I was 19, and she was only 6 months old. She was originally called Runtie because she was tiny and had no tail. I wanted to call her something more endearing so I just decided to called her Mate. In January, she turned 15. She was the most beautiful dog and it absolutely destroyed me to let her go, but I know it was the right thing to do.
I knew for the fourteen and a half years I had her that she was having what felt like a cosmic impact on my life. She was the most powerful antidepressant on the planet for me; I loved her so fucking much, and nothing had made me that happy for that long in my entire life. Anyone who has felt close with a pet knows exactly what I'm talking about.
I'm feeling incredibly tender, but I just wanted to share a few photos of her that made me smile in between trying to put myself back together. Despite her wobbly legs, arthritis and older age, she kept at it and smiled all the way through to the end.
If anyone has any photos, please send them through.
Give your pets a big squeeze for her today.
Love you forever Matey girl ❤️
Yeah g'day,
If I didn't quite disappoint you enough with my sonic journey last time, I'll be playing some tunes again for @freocast under the @jadevisionjadevision banner this coming Monday afternoon at Madalena's from 3pm. There is limited capacity upstairs, but I would love to see your pretty lids bobbin' over some jazzy+dancey stuff if you have the time (and patience).
I'm also throwing some vinyl around this Saturday night from 9-11 alongside @cashpromise_ at Astral Weeks.
Hope to see you there. X
Hello friends,
I'm hosting @freocast next Monday afternoon, playing jazz adjacent + dancey stuff to soothe your heavy heads after perhaps overindulging in some hot cross buns and schooner matatas on easter Sunday. You are encouraged to come down for a boogie, we will have some wines pouring from @local_weirdos_wine , the speakers will be hummin' outside and my rude lid will be in the booth from 3-6.
Come say g'day and poke holes in my music taste. X
Cat's outta the bag, we're now open! Thanks to everyone who came down for the soft opening and have helped along the way, super proud of everything we've done over the last few months. See photo 2 for proud dad photo. Huge love 💘
