Week 2 of Creativity Lab with The Connected Chemist @docbeevee was all about printmaking! Students dove into the science behind ink and paper while connecting with one of history’s most powerful tools for human communication. Along the way, they also reflected on what matters most to them and their connections to communities they are a part of. It’s all about the connections 🛜
☀️This Saturday I had an amazing opportunity and pleasure to run a workshop for Creativity Lab Program at Long Beach Public Library for kids 11-14 years old.
They are such a stunning group of creatives with great ideas.

Creativity Lab
cultivating a creative & connected community
This last Saturday, Pi Day, our Creativity Lab cohort spent the morning in the LBPL Studio. They learned about layers of themselves, layers of their community, and layers in their artwork, especially using procreate. Thanks to Studio coordinator Richard for leading us through an excellent lesson!
Last Saturday was the jubilant return of our locally world famous program for middle school students. Designed with them, for them, and in community, the LBPL Creativity Lab provides a safe space for middle school students to explore their own creative process, and to develop new skills. We had a full class of creators and we had a blast. Thanks to the amazing @fuzz.garden , our community-based artist, for leading us all through a beautiful, caring, and creative session of discovery! This Saturday, we welcome @docbeevee for the next session in printmaking. Creativity, connection, and community 💗❤️🎉
