It’s launch week for the @twigandtale Lorien skirt! This pattern has such beautiful details in the waistband and pockets, it was an absolute joy to sew up! I had to make the most of it and weave my lacings on my inkle loom. I made the long skirt with side ties in a size I using beautiful sage linen from @wearethefabricstore I was gifted the pattern in exchange for feedback and photos. #ttlorienlaceupskirt

I was lucky enough to be chosen to test the new #universaltank Pattern from @mae.crochets . This is a #maetomeasure pattern, meaning it can be made using any weight yarn in any gauge and any stitch across knitting, crochet and Tunisian crochet! Just pop your measurements into the calculator and it automatically generates your perfect pattern! I was excited to try using this format as a machine knitting pattern, as the gauge on a knitting machine is slightly different to hand knitting, so using regular hand knitting patterns doesn’t always work quite right. Since I could put my own gauge information into this pattern it worked perfectly! I used the multicoloured sock yarn in colourway ‘fruit punch’ from Bendigo and crocheted a simple edging around the neckline and armholes to finish it off. I’m excited to see what else I can do with this pattern! I had the absolute pleasure of participating in the @taukomagazine make&share for their new issue out now! I was given an advanced look at the designs in the new issue and chose to make the Ström Pant designed by @ploenpatterns (pattern was gifted in exchange for this post). The fabric is a white cotton herringbone from @wearethefabricstore that I dyed using @ritdye colour eggplant. I achieved the two different shades by making two dye baths, one full strength and one half strength. Summer is just around the corner, so I’ve started sewing for the sun! This is the #tudorblouse from @stitchwitchpatterns in the beautiful celery gingham linen from @wearethefabricstore . I lengthened the sleeve a little so it would sit under the elbow instead of above it and added a hole in the side seam for the wrap to pass through. I also fully lined it, rather than using the facing pieces for the back and I love it so much! I finally got enough good weather and motivation to photograph some makes from the last few months. This one is the Eva top from @coolstitches in a rust marle coloured rib knit purchased from @maaidesign . I made this so long ago I can’t remember any other details, but it’s so comfortable that it has been a wardrobe staple all through winter. However, with summer just around the corner it will likely be packed away until next year. It’s been a while, but I’ve been knitting! This is the Kerry Jumper from @cardigang_knits in the periwinkle chunky mohair. It feels like a hug from a big purple cloud. I knit the smallest size and it’s huge, so I probably could have used smaller needles. These photos were an experiment in using stills from a video rather than taking individual photos with a timer and it was definitely much quicker and less awkward. The auto focus did struggle occasionally, but I kind of like the effect, it matches the fuzziness of the jumper! #knittersofinstagram #imakemyclothes #knitting
