Here is the latest issue of our magazine, featuring two authors sharing their stories. The first, Lisa McCord, discusses her own life. She kindly allowed us to publish these photos, and you can also buy her book, which you will find rewarding. The second, Ludovit Graus, recounts his recent visit to Cuba and makes an appeal through these pages.

2026 is the 49th year of shooting the "American Portraits" series. I have been very busy hustling shows, articles, and will soon be starting production on a 30-minute video documentary that will hopefully air and can be used for promotion. I would really like to finish this project so I can start on new ideas. @jamespaynephoto

@joaocoelho_photography Short Stories, João Coelho's new documentary approach, captures small fragments of life's narratives.
The human condition has always fascinated him. Through his photography, he wants to evoke feelings and convey messages by telling stories that depict suffering or joy, despair or mutual help, strength or disappointment, or simply resilience in the face of adversity and uncertainty about the future.

Years ago, I was just a young boy who was given a stage by @progressivestreet — a place that encouraged me to see, to learn, and to believe in the power of photography.
Around the same time, I remember visiting an exhibition of the @pci_ig Photography Club of India with my father. I was simply a curious boy walking through the galleries, looking at photographs on the walls, never imagining that one day I would return not just as a visitor, but as someone helping bring an international festival to life.
This year, at the Ikshana International Photo Festival, that quiet dream came full circle. The festival brought together photographers from 19 countries, and it was a proud and historic moment to see Progressive Street presented with a dedicated wall at the exhibition — a special showcase highlighting the works of our photographers and the growing global voice of the Progressive community.
Over three days, the galleries at the Indian Council for Cultural Relations in Kolkata were filled with visitors, photographers, students, and lovers of visual storytelling, creating an atmosphere of exchange, inspiration, and shared passion.
For me, the moment carried a special meaning. I had the privilege of volunteering with the Photography Club of India while also representing Progressive Street as a Foreign Correspondent — becoming a small bridge between India and Italy through photography.
My heartfelt gratitude to Sabyasachi da and Batsceba Hardy for the trust, the guidance, and everything I continue to learn along this journey.
Until next time.

A celebration of photography, and a growing Indo–Italian friendship. 📷🤍
Today marks a historic and deeply meaningful moment for Progressive Street.
We are honoured to be part of the Ikshana International Photo Festival 2026, presented by the Photography Club of India in collaboration with Progressive Street, bringing together photographers from 19 countries in a remarkable international celebration of photography.
The festival opened today at the prestigious Indian Council for Cultural Relations in Kolkata, with the inauguration graciously conducted by Justice Dipankar Datta, Judge of the Supreme Court of India.
The opening ceremony was held in the distinguished presence of Rohini Ranjan Goswami, Director of the ICCR, Promud Boruah, Regional Secretary of the Lalit Kala Akademi (Kolkata), and Rajarshi Banerji, Nikon Brand Creator, alongside several eminent photographers from India, including Jhuma Dutta, Soumya Shankar Ghosal, Joydeep Mukherjee, Raj Sarkar, and Deb Lahiri.
The opening evening attracted hundreds of visitors, artists, and photography enthusiasts, creating an inspiring atmosphere of artistic exchange and cultural dialogue.
For Progressive Street, this occasion holds particular significance. A dedicated Progressive Street wall is being presented at the festival, showcasing works from photographers across our global community — a moment that reflects the growing international journey of our platform and the shared passion for street and documentary photography.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the Photography Club of India for their vision and collaboration in creating this powerful bridge between Italy and India, uniting photographers and audiences through the universal language of imagery.
