Our festival is a non-profit event dedicated to showcasing authentic, stereotype-free images that capture meaningful moments in life. We aim to foster connections, inspire insights, and promote reflection and a positive outlook. However, during these challenging times for our world, we at Progressive are finding it difficult to continue with our everyday activities. That is why we have chosen themes that help us stay connected to our humanity.
We invite all photographers with a passion for their craft, as this quality drives significant artistic, political, and social expression. Committed photographers embody this trio in their work. Our platform welcomes photographers of all skill levels in the fields of street photography, documentary, and photojournalism. We support artistic goals across various genres and strive to foster an inclusive environment for everyone.
The winning photos will be published on our website and in our magazine, and will be exhibited at a location to be announced later.

OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
The moment has arrived to proudly unveil the Official Indian Delegation representing the Photography Club of India for the 5th Edition of ProgresFestival 2026, to be held in Genoa, Italy, this Autumn.
This delegation brings together an exceptional collective of photographers and visual storytellers whose works embody the diversity, depth, and evolving language of contemporary Indian photography. Through their individual practices, they carry narratives rooted in memory, humanity, identity, resilience, culture, and everyday life — voices that now travel from India to an international platform of artistic dialogue and cultural exchange.
Under the themes of Visions, The Visual Memory of Protest, and Everyday Family Life, this collaboration stands as a celebration of photography’s ability to transcend borders, languages, and distances while preserving the emotional truths of our shared human experience.
Progressive Street is deeply honoured to collaborate with the Photography Club of India — one of India’s most respected and longstanding photographic institutions, whose contribution to the growth of photographic culture, visual education, exhibitions, salons, and international artistic exchange has inspired generations of photographers across the country. For decades, the Photography Club of India has remained a vital force in nurturing visual storytelling and creating meaningful spaces for photographers to learn, exhibit, and connect globally.
The official venue details and exhibition dates are currently being processed and will be announced soon through our official channels.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all participating artists and express our sincere gratitude to the Photography Club of India for their trust, collaboration, and continued commitment toward strengthening international cultural dialogue through photography.
Together, we look forward to presenting voices from India to the world — celebrating photography not only as an art form, but as a bridge between people, cultures, and generations.

Progressive Street is proud to introduce the upcoming announcement of the Official Indian Delegation, representing the Photography Club of India, for the 5th Edition of ProgresFestival, to be held in Genoa, Italy, this Autumn.
This collaboration stands as a meaningful bridge between cultures—bringing together diverse voices, perspectives, and narratives from India to an international stage. The selected photographers will not only represent their individual practices, but also the evolving language of contemporary photography emerging from the subcontinent.
Rooted in three central themes—Visions, The Visual Memory of Protest, and Everyday Family Life—this edition invites works that reflect imagination, resistance, and the quiet poetry of daily existence.
As we prepare to reveal the delegation, we celebrate the spirit of those who continue to create, question, and document the world with honesty and depth.

It is with great sadness that I share the news of the passing of Raghu Rai, a towering figure and the father of Indian photography. His loss marks the end of an era.
I had written this as a small tribute to him earlier—he is the reason I first held a camera, and his work has shaped the way I see the world.
This loss feels deeply personal, beyond words.
May his soul rest in peace.

Progressive Street expresses its deep gratitude, sincere honour, and appreciation to PCI for the opportunity to form a partnership. As an organisation, Progressive Street is smaller than PCI, both in membership and in structure. While PCI operates as a collective, Progressive Street is a cohesive group led by our founder. Each of our members shares a passion for photography, bringing distinct styles and modes of expression that contribute to our collective vision.
What truly unites Progressive Street and PCI is our shared commitment to protect photography from the consumerism that dominates modern society. We are committed to promoting not only artistic expression but also the cultural, social, and documentary dimensions of photography. Through our efforts, we seek to highlight different aspects of reality—celebrating beauty while also recognising tragedy and hardship. Both organisations aim to transition from the digital, virtual space into tangible, real-world experiences.
We'll achieve this by exhibiting our photographic works in galleries, organising vibrant festivals, hosting engaging meetings and debates, and producing magazines, books and other print media. In doing so, we hope to foster meaningful dialogues about the power of photography and its role in reflecting and shaping our understanding of the world.
