Throughout her career, Perth filmmaker Miley Tunnecliffe has explored a range of genres as an actor, writer and director.
With her debut feature film, Proclivitas, she steps into the supernatural with a new psychological horror starring Rose Riley and George Mason.
Cinema Australia has admired Tunnecliffe’s work for years, so it was a genuine pleasure to record this special podcast episode with her in front of a live audience as part of the recent WA Made Film Festival where the film celebrated its WA premiere.
In the conversation, Tunnecliffe reflects on the early stages of her career, her transition from acting to writing and directing, the differences between working in television and film, the psychological depths of the lead character in Proclivitas, and much more.
