We were absolutely delighted that Berni Yates
@berniyates , Lead on Knowledge Exchange for the Fashion Program at Central Saint Martins, opened our Private View.
Berni’s passion for fashion, textiles, craft, and making by hand is truly inspiring. In her talk, she reflected on the importance of practices that may once have been considered “old-fashioned,” and how vital it is to keep them relevant in a contemporary context. She spoke to the way many of our members work at the intersection of textiles, craft, and art, something that is beautifully reflected in this year’s Dictionary exhibition.
