ABOUT THE PHRASE ‘MAIS AMOR POR FAVOR’: ‘More love please’ was a response by Brazilian artist
@ygormarotta to “the aggressiveness, social indifference and speed that characterizes a metropolis like São Paulo”. In the mid 2010s his posters - such as the one we are using in this post – appeared across the city. At a time of increasing divisiveness within Brazil’s political climate, this phrase gained popularity and became an emblem of hope and resistance.
