My final illustration for @ourplanetweek “Seeds Sowing” 🌱🌸 When I started this challenge I told myself if I did 1 or 2 prompts then I’d be proud of the effort and I ended up doing *all 5 prompts* so I’m officially patting myself on the back and considering this a job well done. 4th prompt for @ourplanetweek - “Ocean Glowing” I thought of weirdo glowing lantern fish *Quick Fact: I learned the hanging, glowing bit is called a photophore* This was a challenge for me to draw and make it well, look cute. (Google lanternfish and wowza they have some creepy faces! lol) So the fact I think this guy looks more friendly than menacing is a victory in my book! 🐢“Rivers flowing” prompt for @ourplanetweek My first draft of this was only featuring animals interacting amongst themselves, but then I really looked at it and asked myself “how can I push this farther and make it more special?” and I knew I had to add a main character. Happy Earth Day and the start of @ourplanetweek 🌎 The first prompt is “forests growing” - My illustration is about a young adventurer and his trusted friend out to explore the beautiful forest. I wanted the feel of my illustration to be full and lush, with layers of bright colors and textures, I fought with the composition of this one for a while but ultimately am happy with it!
