During #ourplanetweek2026 I prepared 5 illustrated bookmarks that you can print at home and use in your favorite book. Each colorful bookmark features an animal I selected carefully for each prompt and has a small crossword or a puzzle to solve- also prepared by me ☺️🫢 You can find them on my web, for fræ

A super bloom happens when wildflower seeds that have been dormant for years suddenly sprout and bloom almost simultaneously, turning the desert into a colorful and vibrant canvas✨
These events are rare, occurring only every few to 15 years and need heavy rainfall or desert fires to trigger growth and optimal sprouting conditions.
An incredible Nature’s surprise spectacle that can be even witnessed from space! 🌱🌵🌸
This concludes the “Seeds sowing” prompt for @ourplanetweek ! I hope you enjoyed my illustrations over the past few days🤗💚
Participating in this initiative has been a delight as always! l’ve learned again so much about our planet.
Thanks again to the amazing host team for bringing us all together and to inspire each other to advocate for the planet💙
THANK YOU💖:

For "Seeds Sowing" I was thinking lots about the homogenization of our food systems. How we rely on a handful of crops and seeds companies to feed most of the world. A few years ago I read a book by Dan Saladino called "Eating to Extinction" exploring endangered foods and the stories of those people working to save them, to bring them back to life AND how this would create a food system more resilient against climate change & disease, not to mention more nutritious & more culturally diverse. From Kavılca wheat from Turkey, to the alb lentil (thought to be extinct until recently) from the Alps, it's all in all a really positive read. It also led me to think more about seed sovereignty. I was particularly captivated by the story of @vivien.sansour and her mission to find the seeds and begin cultivating the Jadu'I watermelon the (until recently almost lost) watermelon of Jenin West Bank, Palestine. I recommend looking up her work & the seed library she has created there. I will add this to my "Story of Plants" project. I'll share a little more soon!
Oh wow! What a challenge. It went so fast & I'm.late posting this and catching up on seeing all the beautiful work for the last prompt . But THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! For taking part, for sharing your creativity for supporting each other . 💚🌍🌱 #ourplanetweek #opwseeds #ourplanetweek26

Pachamama - Sowing Seeds 🌱
As I wandered in search of legends, in a valley bathed in the light of a full moon, I encountered the fifth creature for the @ourplanetweek challenge: Pachamama, the great spirit of the earth in Inca folklore and the Andean highlands.
Unlike the other creatures, she is an ancient and immense presence, alive in every mountain, seed, root and stone.
Pachamama is the earth that nourishes, welcomes and gives back, but also demands respect and gratitude from those who inhabit her.
In Andean traditions, her body is one with the landscape itself: the valleys, mountains, fields, rivers and the dry wind of the highlands are her deep breath.
She is a maternal and generous force who, if honoured, bestows fertility and abundance. But if she is wounded, she can remind mankind of how small they are in the face of her immensity.
Pachamama is, to all intents and purposes, a deity, the great mother goddess and protector of the earth, agriculture and fertility.
At the end of my journey through the creatures and legends of folklore, she seems more than ever to be the origin of everything.
Did you know about this incredible mythological goddess? 💚

✨Seeds Sowing✨ prompt 5 for @ourplanetweek 🌱 Under the full moon I share a message of collective liberation for all Earth’s species 🌝
🕊️ The word “vegan” can bring up intense feelings or opinions, and I invite you to pause and consider the deeper message:
Though veganism affects food choices, it is a philosophy of peace rooted in the commitment to end exploitation of all sentient life. It emphasizes compassion and a deliberate refusal to benefit from systems that depend on violence or coercion toward animals, including humans, and all of Earth’s beings.
At its core, veganism is an ethic of non-violence expressed through our daily actions and choices, even how we think and speak to ourselves and others.
Consider the life wrapped in plastic, the eyes that never got to see sunshine or feel the love of a moonlit sanctuary.
I invite you to see beings like the pig as equally deserving of a peaceful life as you and me.
Follow sanctuaries like @mylovelypigrescue and @figgyfarmanimalsanctuary to get to know the animals, and even volunteer in person.
May we sow the seeds of a world rooted in loving kindness.
This concludes another inspiring edition of #ourplanetweek 🥰 Thank you to all the participants, supporters and to my wonderful co-hosts 🫶
