After a sold-out session at Tender Place, Zev and Prad dive once more into the sonic legacy of Alice Coltrane, blending guided meditation, mantra, and deep listening inspired by Himalayan Yog-Vedantic traditions.
The workshop begins with a seated practice themed on the Kriya yoga mantra Sat Chit Ananda, creating a bridge between mindfulness and Coltrane’s transcendental sound world. Expect a slow, grounding, and spacious session.
Designed for those who appreciate both meditative practice and spiritual jazz lineages, the evening includes 45 minutes of guided mantra meditation followed by 30 minutes of mindful listening.
Homemade chai and tea will also be available.

As a director, I’ve grown from wanting to make pretty pictures to seeking moments that mean something and resonate.
Shit ain’t easy.
As a man, I’ve learned that growth is the only constant. It asks for reflection, vulnerability, and change.
Shit also ain’t easy.
My latest campaign for @respectvictoria is where these two worlds intersect.
This campaign deals with the weight that men carry on the daily. How that pressure can break us… or break others.
I wanted to make something raw, honest and without judgement.
Thank you to the formidable talent and trust of the team that helped make this possible. Shit was easier because of you.
Not to mention the stories of the men, a few of whom I know personally, who were so forthright and strong in their vulnerability.

There’s a concept I heard of in Korea called “Han”. It doesn’t have a literal English translation, but one way to describe it is a combination of melancholy & hope. The closest Western comparison is “The Blues”. 🇰🇷 🫰🏾
My mother was a magician.
Born with a swollen brain and a twisted spine and taken to St Anne’s in a tiny suitcase to plead for her tiny life. They were told she wouldn’t survive but she did. She was told she’d never have children but she did. She came into this world with mountains to climb and she did. She travelled far and wide and raised her three boys. She was brave.
School closed for her too early - her mother needed her hands to take care of 10 siblings. Maybe to escape, she gave her hand to a marriage that slowly broke her heart even after it ended. My mother had a body that trapped her, a heart that ached and a mind that couldn’t let go. For all her magic, her trouble was caught in her.
But ask anyone who knew her and you’ll hear: she was the kindest, most generous person they had met, the soul of the party, a beguiling charmer, an absolute comedian, an uncommon beauty and a mythical cook.
Like every magician, she could turn nothing into something. Her knowledge lived in her hands - good luck getting her to write down a recipe. Her expression was pure intuition. She took all the ලුණු ඇඹුල් of her life and turned it out perfectly balanced.
She was born on the 19th and she left on the 19th at 19 minutes past noon. A number symbolic of inner power, perseverance and the spiritual path.
While the sky was clear, she left quietly. She left while looking at her three boys. She finally closed those green eyes that she had given to each of us as a gift before we were even born and that very night the blue moon rose.
My mother made me believe in magic. And I’ll love and miss her so much.

A wise chef once told me that good prep is 90% of the work.
My latest spots for Dennis Family Homes had multiple scenes, talent, lighting setups, children, dogs - you name it! And it all had to be crafted into authentic, cozy moments. It’s cool to see how close we got to the original ideas with a whole lotta prep and some slightly awkward block-throughs. 😉
