For the November issue of Sharp Magazine, we were lucky enough to sit down with Leo Baldassarre, Michael Mercanti, and Conor Joerin, founders of Sagra di Toronto. @famiglia_baldassarre @michaelmercanti @sugotoronto Sagra di Toronto is a fundraiser supporting youth programs in the city, where industry professionals and members of the community come together to serve traditional Italian food. This year, with the help of many notable local businesses including Bondi Produce and The Butcher Shoppe, the team are preparing a variety of classic italian pastas and dishes including squash Tortelli, macaroni with duck ragu, and pot roast with polenta, to name a few. It was great to sit down with the team, and we are truly honoured to be even a small part of this very important cause. @Sagra_di_Toronto takes place this Sunday, October 27th at Loretto College between 12-8pm. The September issue of Sharp Magazine featured the second installment of Dish It Out - @sharpmagazine This fall, diners and industry professionals alike have similar questions concerning the food and hospitality landscape in Canada. With the help of three new restaurants, we were able to answer some of those questions. First, we peeked inside @sammarcosteak , the newest project from @davidminicucci & @chefrobrossi , who are the right people to answer the call regarding the time-honored steakhouse. Next, we caught up with @adrijjjan and @mikey_kim_ , the two young guns behind @boniiitos - to better understand where the Dundas West food and nightlife scene is headed. Lastly, we chatted with @chefdannysmiles about his new restaurant @leviolonmontreal , and after speaking with him, decided for ourselves why Montreal has become synonymous with hospitality. Halfway through 2024, and we have already had the chance to work with some of the most talented people in the food and drink industry in Toronto.
