Just a very regular push day with some awesome new tools. Chest, shoulders, tris. The Speediance Gym Monster 2 did most of the heavy lifting (well... I mean, I guess that was me but... You know... Metaphors and stuff).
Two things I want to flag. First, the smart handles from
@speediance.official , the fact that you can click the buttons built into the handles themselves to engage and disengage the weight instead of fumbling for the button on the machine (or finger dial) is a bigger quality of life upgrade than I expected. I cannot tell you how many times I bumped that finger dial button on accident or just completely missed it mid-set. The handles just feel more natural. That said, you still need the button for other lifts, or to) if you want to change the weight without getting up, which brings me to the other thing.
The
@thebetterflyllc Better Fly continues to be one of those things I just reach for automatically at this point. I've been placing it on my forearms for pec flies lately and pairing it with something to squeeze in my hands, (my favorite is my wife's pregnancy balls for her feet - yes gentleman, that's a thing - but a racquetball, fat grips, or whatever is slightly squishy gets the job done) and the contraction I'm getting is a little ridiculous. Still testing forearms vs biceps placement and I'll have a full dedicated review eventually but the early verdict is extremely positive.
Also the
@porter_physed Rev Bar has a paint and finish on it that I have not done justice to yet on this channel. Drop a comment if you want me to try to do a short video on it because I'm not even sure I can capture it but I kind of want to try.
The workout:
Seated cable bench press — 4x12 (Speediance dual handles, eccentric mode)
Seated overhead press — 4x12 (Speediance dual handles, eccentric mode)
Cable flies — 3x12-15 (Better Fly)
Lateral raises — 3x12-15 (smart handles)
Tricep pushdowns — 3x12-15 (Rev Bar)
Links to everything in my bio. 💪🏼
