We bought a building! This isnāt new information to some of you, but weāre finally starting to renovate and we want to take you on the journey with us.
This olā girl has seen a lot in the last 95 years and it sits smack dab in the middle of our little town. Literally the corner of First and Main. Weāve heard a lot of sweet (and spooky!) stories from locals about the building, the bakery, previous owners, etc. We are really excited to give her some TLC and turn it into a welcoming space.

Weāre having a free sticker day! We have a surplus of @boxocardco sticker cards that canāt be used due to printing errors, so we wanted to share them with all of you.
Come by this Saturday with an item (phone, water bottle, a baby, laptop, car, divorce papers, bike, helmet, etc.) you want to slap a sticker on.
You must bring the item to the store as we will peel and stick on site. Canāt have those faulty sticker cards circulating around the world! Each kid will also receive a bonus PE sticker that will not have to be used immediately. Weāll have all the free stickers at the desk!

Hereās whatās happening at the Bakery!
We knew renovating this olā thing would be intense but maybe not THIS intense. Weāre super grateful for @that1guycody and the Alkire team because theyāve truly been our ride or die throughout this process.
We have a lot of repairs and renovations to get through but the light at the end of the tunnel is starting to feel brighter.
Weāre excited to show you the building without the gaudy olā awning and we havenāt even talked about the basement OR the resident ghosts. Stay tuned!

Yāall really came through to celebrate our first anniversary with us! There arenāt enough words to truly express how grateful we feel to be surrounded by such kind, patient, and fun humans. We are extremely proud of this community we continue to build.

A year ago we crossed paths with the people behind Poor Example and somewhere along the way, we became real friends.
This past week they celebrated one year rooms filled with art, energy, and creatives showing up for each other.

We took a little trip to Zinc House today as we prepare for our one year anniversary celebration in TWO weeks! Our opening last March was such a whirlwind, so this time we decided to host a little hang sesh at the beautiful @zinchousefarm / @clarkferrea after our store closes on 3/28. And bonus! Itās just a 5 minute drive from us.
Tickets for this event are currently on sale (via @sirmitchell ās website) and they are limited. Each ticket includes a custom tote filled with exclusive prints, @boxocardco cards, stickers, a drink ticket, and a raffle ticket to win cool stuff. Additional raffle tickets will be available for purchase at the event.

Thereās decades of memories floating around this old building.
Weāre attempting to learn more about the original owners of the Bakery, and so far our favorite fact is that they were huge bird enthusiasts and apparently had quite an aviary. It feels as if it was meant to be as we are clearly big fans of birds as well. You can even see a Bird cage in one of these photos.

In addition to our normal Friday hours, we will be open this Saturday 10-2 with these incredible vendors. Coffee (looking at you baseball/softball/t-ball parents - opening day is a doozy!), art, and our local Girl Scouts!
Sharing this space with the community has been one of our biggest highlights since opening our doors. We are loving these first Saturdays as it gives us an opportunity to see familiar faces and meet new friends. We hope to see you there!
