Here's Jess making the fknobs for Kanso on our Nakamura Tome WT250 lathe. For Kanso we machine the fknobs & nuts, punch, bend and laser mark the enclosures and assemble the PCBs on our pink and place line, all in house. The Fresnel lenses are also machined on the lathe!
If you're not already on Firmware 407 for Beebo & Hector it is up now. I'm happy that people are still interested in Beebo, it's been a while since I first showed it in 2018. In the photo you can see 3 eras of Beebo running the latest firmware. We haven't been selling Beebos for the last few years after parts availability became an issue but we're keen to keep them going.
The key issue this update fixes is with file system degradation over time. Due to some quantum space magic called read disturb, a read only file system will change after you’ve read it enough times. This happens after 4-7 years with Beebo, so this suddenly became a major (and amazingly hard to fix) issue. This fix swaps to a filesystem that can cope with this and automatically heals itself. The main symptom of the problem is Beebo / Hector not starting up.
We're also busy making a ton of Kanso units!
The @polyeffects Trails is the coolest pedal I played @woodwirevolts this year, which is saying something. It’s so deep and has so many sounds that I can’t replicate with any other pedal, but this is my favorite mode - Meadows.
Even with more involved melodies/chords it can sit behind your guitar nicely, but it can also be its own instrument.
This is also the first time I’m showing off the @progresspedals DAD250+, which is the best DOD250 I’ve played. First batch is almost sold out, so go grab one!
