Another happy customer.
Harley from @spirit_ghost_ picked up a @mozztronics Opto -Comp in advance of the band’s upcoming run of dates in Texas.
Thumbs up!
If you like dark delays that degrade beautifully with each repeat…AND beautiful modulation that you can turn on via a seperate switch then this delay might just be for you!! Definitely a Pedal of the Year contender…it’s the @mozztronics EF-1 Echo Machine - link to the video is in our bio!!

Playing around with the Mozztronics Echo Machine guitar pedal. $349,
We’ve got it in store right now- it’s brand new and you won’t find it online anywhere.
This bad boy has full dry/wet signal control and an LFO knob which let’s you get chorus and leslie rotor-esque sounds
So coooool

Time for fun.
My band, day 1 of 2 in at @sabresoundstudio in Port Melbourne, a ripper new studio.
Some Mozztronics on my bass pedal board, and a RA1 reamp & VP3 valve guitar preamp in the control room rack.
Much fun was had by one and all. Rhythm section tracked for 3 songs.
And the first batch begins, these are numbers 2 & 3. Lots of fun testing these, the LFO turns this from a standard "meh" PT2399 delay into a lush univibe /Chorus delay

Alright… so the fuzz rabbit hole saga just got deeper ⚡️
After that magical drop from Tahnee (see earlier post), Andrew from @mozztronics hit me up and said “come have a play…”
Walked into his mad scientist’s fuzz laboratory/HQ, pedals, parts, weird little bits everywhere… I knew I was in trouble.
Next minute I’m plugged in, pulling some hardcore wind-changing stank face and completely losing track of time.
Walked out with two more Melbourne-made beasts, nearly missed soundcheck. 🫠
And The Baconizer… 🥓🐖⚡️
…that thing is straight up 🐽🔥
Huge thanks Andrew ❤️ can’t wait to get these into the writing cave. @ladyluckstudiosau
So stoked to have stumbled into your world.
More to come……
The latest thing from my bench. This is as "digital" as i get. Yes it's a delay pedal.
I wanted to do something different to a basic delay, so it was time for the thinking cap.
This is a PT2399 based delay unit. I added wet & dry volumes (so if this was to be used as a delay pedal in mixing you can turn dry to zero & have wet only). Dry can be set above unity, and feedback can be turned up for infinite repeats.
But it needed more, or this would be just another "meh" PT2399 delay.
Im a big fan of modulation, so I added an LFO with its own footswitch. The LFO modulates the delay time. When the LFO is on, you get a vibey / chorusy effect which is lush & lovely.
Of course you can set this to extremes, enough to induce sea sickness 🤣
The other thing I like about old delay units is how the "repeats" degrade in quality with each repeat, like old tape based units.
Turn it up loud 🤘😃
Had boards made for my hybrid solid state & valve mic preamp. Testing finished & everything works as intended.
Now to wait for sheetmetal & have the front & rear panels printed.
Then off to Dr D, my captive studio engineer for his evaluation & to see how it sounds.
Onward 🤘
Visiting @theguitargallerynz in Auckland, chatted with Lincoln & Ady talking pedals, amps, guitars for ages. A great shop, lots of amazing guitars & gear you won't see elsewhere, except in Wellington, where guitar gallery has a sister shop to their Auckland shop.
A big thanks to all that came to the "meet the maker" last Thursday.
TOMORROW!
Join us for a free in-store event as we welcome Andrew Macdonald of @mozztronics to our Auckland shop.
Andrew is making some of our favorite pedals and he’ll talk gear, show off his amazing boutique stomps including some new hot-off-the-press models making their NZ debut.
Come try out the entire line. Get tips and advice. Make some noise.
See you here!
