For over five years, we have together forged and fostered a worldwide community of artists and listeners, drawn closer to one another by our common passion for challenging and inventive electronic music. We revel in the spine-tingling thrill of crafting and hearing wild new undiscovered sounds, and it's deeply gratifying to be able to share that experience with others. That spark keeps our creative fires lit and our hearts warm, a vital essence of our art.
Through this we've made real friends, real connections, real bonds between us. Together we've made something special, and the intensity of our gratitude is indescribable.
And that's why it's so hard for us now, to make this announcement: Point Source Electronic Arts will close January 1, 2026.
There are many reasons - most of them personal - but as much as we want to continue, right now it is simply not an option. There remains the possibility of a future return in some new form, as we reassess what we really want to do and how we want to do it. But for now, we must say goodbye.
Our catalog will be shut down and disbursed to the artists. When the label's Bandcamp page closes, our compilations will no longer be available but the individual artist releases should remain on their own pages. We encourage everyone to come and download all of your past purchases, and consider other releases and sample kits you might have missed.
Right now all digital albums are available for free, or name your price. Our special issue double-CD set "Artist Showcase - 5th Edition" is half price at $10 plus shipping.
Friends, we can't thank you enough for your unending love and support. Enjoy the music.
