A lil throwback from 'back in the day' on the progress of making my very firsttttt silicone piece! The neck needed to be armor but flexible, so I created a plaster cast of my neck, carved the armor piece out of clay, and then used Rebound 25 to make a mold. This was then cast into a flexible piece that I could paint for the finish. Looking at this armor, I can see so much good but also SO MUCH I would have made better nowadays. A little personal post: we are moving! But…not just yet. I still have projects and contracts to complete while we renovate the new place, so I’ll mostly keep house updates in stories. This is going to be so much work, but we are hoping it’s worth it in the end! #houserenovation

#sponsored I’m working on a passion project that just needed the right fabrics to make it happen, so I was really happy when @cosplayfabrics reached out to collaborate on the Medicine Seller from Mononoke! I meticulously picked apart each scene to figure out the type of garment worn, and then I modified it to be a traditional mix of Happi pattern and female Kimono style so that I could create a separate wrap skirt and top. The skirt appears 2 layer and top looks like one with a trim which is why I chose this method. This project was made almost entirely of Cosplay by Yaya Han fabric which is now sold at @michaelsstores (SO HAPPY FOR THIS). Anything that was stretch, I added interfacing to make non-stretch. All details were designed and cut by hand except for my squares for the next video. I even made bias tape from brocade 😫 WITNESS ME. I’m honored to support @yayahan ‘s fabric line continuing to be available to cosplayers. Rogue was entirely handmade - and I didn’t record everything but here’s a snapshot of how I did it! The bodysuit is pieced stretch fabric that I meticulously sewed together and airbrushed after (while it was on me so I could see where the shadows needed to be). I enlisted @sayakatcosplay to help me by drawing the lines on a base bodysuit so I could cut and create the pattern pieces. Hero suits are great but I wanted to make mine so I put in the work! The jacket is upholstery vinyl and the buckles and bits are 3d printed in pla filament affixed with Fabri-Tac from @beaconcreates I spliced together two wigs and did a longer bang in the front. @marvelrivals #rogue #marvelrivals
