Happy New Year, we hope 2026 brings lightness and brightness for all!
In keeping with its exploration of opposites, to end our Solstice to Epiphany programme we have our first event of the year⦠Sunday 4th January, 2.30-5.30pm!
One reading of the word hari is āto dispel the darknessā, and we see research, experimentation and engagement as the means of bringing insights and casting light on artistsā subject interests and practices.
Following on from our 2nd Sunday - which included brilliant performances by
@haribo_voodoo_ritual @doodle_demon @clark.michelle50 @onyx.o.x and interactive infinite mirror projection by
@skprojections -Sunday #3. continues to invite people to interact with darkness and light, and consider their meeting points and significations through the artworks and activities presented.
Adding to the story this week, we will be joined by
@matt_hopper_art with the project he is developing during his MA: The Temple of Eternal Change, and āStations of the Signsā; and
@linjamart21 shares images in her Threshold series capturing fleeting light, which she is developing during her 12 Days of Creativity.
If you engaged with the 12 Days of Creativity challenge during Epiphany, you are welcomed to bring the things you made to this date, and discuss how they can be used to illuminate the coming months with
@lindakingart
If you have other work or ideas for activities inspired by the dark and/or luminosity, you are welcome to bring them to the event ā or send us light/dark photos for inclusion in the reel composed by
@bad.___.soup and
@pixelsviaproxy
We will also be reflecting on HARIās occupation of this space so far, and visioning for our progression in 2026.
*Bring a torch, and wrap up for the cold.
**Hot drinks available, but flask or travel cup recommended.
