What do you hold onto when you have to let go?
We’re proud to share the trailer for 22+1, our short film on the subject of Black maternal trauma. Featuring “No Words” an original song by the brilliant @bastilledan
The aim of 22+1 has always been to change the narrative for Black women in maternal healthcare.
It’s a privilege to be working alongside the extraordinary women below, who have long been campaigning for equity and awareness in this space. We hope 22+1 can be part of the shift they’ve been leading.

Are you ready to meet Mae Darling, barrister by day, serial killer by night?
Listen to Darling Death, the brand new thriller, only on Audible (link in bio)
The Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, @wesstreeting MP, hosted a screening of our short film 22+1 last week for MPs and those working across maternity services.
Wes Streeting suggested healthcare professionals screen 22+1 within midwife training programmes and other key areas. The film is available to watch for free on YouTube (search ‘22+1 short film’ or via the link in our bios).
Following the screening, we joined @wesstreeting MP, @bell_ribeiroaddy MP and @midwife_alicia on a panel to discuss why Black maternal trauma – an urgent national healthcare crisis – is being largely silenced, and how our film is contributing to change within healthcare systems.
We cannot thank the Secretary of State enough for his support, and for such an insightful and important event.

Happy International Women’s Day!
The very wonderful @bella_freud has collaborated with the @kingstrust to launch a limited-edition, 100% organic cotton t-shirt in support of their ‘Change a Girl’s Life’ campaign. Through this partnership, 20% of every t-shirt sold throughout March will go directly to funding The Trust’s vital work, helping thousands of young women facing disadvantage and adversity to gain the skills, opportunities, and support they need to build brighter, more secure futures.
It’s such a brilliant initiative.
You can find the link for the tee in my stories 🤍
