WITHIN | Yesterday, I had the honor of showcasing 10 large-scale prints of my medium format photography at @bathhousestudios for the art show Air, created by @alipimenta and @johnjgordon
When Aline reached out and shared the themes of the project—recovery, mental health awareness, connection with natural rhythms, and the fluidity of emotional states—I was inspired to be part of it. Through her creative direction, I took an experimental approach to the portraits, shooting on Cinestill 800T 120 film and using red and blue lighting, focused beams, split compositions, and distorted reflections.
In just under two weeks, with the help of friends and collaborators, we created 10 portraits that nod to themes of Aline’s show. As someone new to displaying photography, the experience was very challenging, reminding me of my love for the image-making process. All of the details of the displayed images were crafted in-house, handled with care, and made by hand.

Ezra’s creative for this project was inspired by old Technicolor Hollywood films that glorified the art form of ballet and offered a peek behind the curtain of these performers. When @zenpace approached me to shoot this year’s CBS campaign, I was really excited to tell a different type of story for Pride. One that’s very honest about where we are and what’s at stake. It was an honor to work with these people and enter their lives for a week to tell their stories. Thank you Zen for leading such a beautiful project and making everyone involved feel at home.
Every project comes with a lesson and this one taught me about community. No matter where you are in the country or world, your chosen family and your community define who you are.
