So excited to share my latest comic book, “Self Reflection” is live on Kindle and Apple Books! It’s been a labor of love creating this over the last few years and it’s something I’m really proud of. The biggest of thank yous go out to @bachanme for his patience and amazing talent and to @tidesanimation for his continued collaboration and guidance. In this post I’m sharing 3 of my favorite panels from the book, all of which highlight Bachan’s fantastic art and Alex’s brilliant character designs. Another big thank you to @richiegrams for last second taking a few “author photos” of me to help out this insta algo 🤣 If you decide to take a peak at the book, please let me know what you think! Here’s to sharing many more stories in the near and distant future :)

My friends, it is with the utmost joy (and a lil relief) that I can now say my first book, “The Things We Fear As Children” is available now, anywhere you can buy a book online. Link in bio :) It’s been over two years of hard work putting this together and there are so so many people to thank. To anyone that has played any part, small or large, in helping me along the way, thank you. In this post I’ve included some of my favorite of @muruusa.art incredible work but there’s so much more in the book itself. Please, if you get a chance to read, let her know how incredible she is.

While the comic itself is still a ways away, just couldn’t resist sharing our now completed cast list for “Lmonad” all expertly designed and drawn by the wickedly talented @lonelyweirdcat I wrote the very first iteration of this goofy story something like 12 years ago as part of a college application for a film school I was rightfully rejected from. But it’s stuck with me and has remained an adventure I’ve been so curious to see and share since. With luck, more will be coming out later in the year but for now, a small milestone. Peep some recognizable featured extras on page 3 😂

Two super super cool time lapses shared with me by “Self Reflection”’s illustrator, @bachanme . Working with incredible artists who elevate the work in exciting ways is only a blessing. So so cool to see his process and the comic is lucky to have him :) Little more than a week left!

So excited to announce the upcoming drop my latest creative endeavor! “Self Reflection” tells the story of Al, the half-human son of Dracula, as he goes on a search for his reflection, and instead discovers different aspects of identity beyond the superficial. Started writing this little story just about two years ago now and it’s been so exciting to see it come to life thanks to the fanatic character design work of @tidesanimation and the truly unbelievable illustrative work of @bachanme . Wouldn’t be a hint of what it is without them. No release date as of yet, as I’m still exploring release options (if anyone has any ideas, lemme know please) but we’ll be wrapped up in a few weeks time. Can’t wait to share! Another big thank you for @tidesanimation for the cover design, whipped up in a night and right in with what I was thinking, as you always manage to do!

Biggest and best surprise of my first day of 29? Sitting a few feet from the legend I watched play one of my favorite matches ever just 5 days after I turned 17. Day was made just by this photo 🥹 (featuring some very bad slapped together masking 😅) Pics taken in 2025 and 2013 respectively.

Spent the last month making a movie with a new cavalcade of lifelong friends…people who inspire me to use words like “cavalcade” often and unironically. Lucky to be guided by @hamiltonohtoole fantastic direction and script, he’s made a movie that’s already easy to want to talk about and will be even easier to want to share when the time comes. As a camera assistant, I was luckiest of all to get to work for and with Admiral @aj.murray everyday. Took less than a week to become a lifelong friend, and after this month I’ve become a lifelong fan as well. Can’t wait to see the images she makes throughout the rest of her career. 🫡

Somewhere in the vault at home is an elementary school paper I wrote about how @pbellp was my hero. Top tier human being and cousin.

27 wasn’t always the best year but plenty of positives to look back and smile on. Tennis (like…so much), new experiences, wonderful humans, and plenty of bits. Here’s to another year full of plenty more of the same :)

After getting the chance to be a part of a fantastic program at the 14th Annual @greenpointfilmfestival it’s about time to close the chapter on our short, “Addendum” From its birth as a rough idea script for a lens test to its final iteration, the piece certainly had an unusual life cycle but settled into something I’m not only proud of but continue to react differently to upon further rewatches (which is kinda cool). I was blessed to be surrounded by fantastic friends, without whom the movie wouldn’t be half of what it is. Biggest of thank yous go to @izzyraye_ for a deeply endearing and grounded performance. I think you’d be hard pressed to find someone who couldn’t empathize with you. To @ortetmas for your ever striking cinematography. It’s been without fail, the first thing people point to after watching our short, and for good reason. Every frame leaves a lasting mark. To @mushie_mia whose production design helped make sense out of how an empty old apartment could be a character in and of itself. To @emiliosubia for whom we were able to create a credit because you literally did…everything lol. To @karimakesmovies for whom this was one of your first times pulling focus, and you didn’t even bat an eye at the long lens push in for the final shot that couldn’t have closed the movie as well as it had without you nailing it. To @alexbenitez who jumped on to wing some uber creative lighting gags as the most generous way of catching up after not seeing one another for years. To @shmowells for making a very green jacket, blue in response to what I thought was just a throw away “aw man if only…” To @sardines___ for the most patience with me as I asked for ever more specific sound design notes. To @lullatone for nailing the score…literally on the first try. I wish I could have been able to give notes to work with ya longer but it was just so perfect from the get. To @jakemoore and @harrison.rusk for donating lenses and lights. Otherwise the movie would be very very dark and we’d be looking at just a sensor image. To @_theotheremma_ whose voice recording of a scene that didn’t make it into the final cut was ever crucial to figuring anything out
