🎥✨ Cinematographer David Williams believes filmmaking is more than technique — it’s about preserving moments that might otherwise fade away. Working between New York City and Los Angeles, he approaches every frame as an opportunity to capture emotion, memory, and a piece of the human soul on film. While he honors the patience and texture of analog filmmaking with tools like the Aaton XTR, David also embraces emerging technologies that push cinematic storytelling forward. His work spans narrative films, music videos, and commercial projects, including Attagirl, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, as well as Leech directed by Nekoda and The Sight Unseen by Shawn Antoine. In this episode of the Visual Intonation Podcast, David reflects on the balance between film and digital, instinct and innovation, and how every technical choice ultimately serves one thing: the human moment in front of the lens. 🎬💡

Meet David Williams — 1/2 of our DP team.
A Harlem native with a deep love for cinema, David tells stories with intention, texture, and time. Often shooting on film, his work carries a reverence for craft and history—where every frame feels considered and lived-in. That analog sensibility shaped The Sight Unseen, grounding the film in warmth, memory, and visual truth.
Honored to collaborate with a cinematographer who understands that images aren’t just captured—they’re felt.
