What do you ride when you can ride anything in the Starling range? A custom, single speed Mini Murmur, that’s what.
This one is Starling Owner Joe’s new personal bike, pieced together as his new daily driver and escape-vessel. Built up to his dream spec with a few of his favourite brands.
“I haven’t had a new bike myself in a long time and I thought I deserved one, maybe! It’s a Mini Murmur frame, short travel with 120mm back/130mm front, built up with a whole load of components that I think are interesting.”
“I’ll ride this pretty much everywhere - but - mainly on my local XC loop around Bristol and over in the Forest of Dean. Those are where I ride most weeks to clear my head, come up with ideas and escape the workshop!”
👉🏻 Single speed - I like single speed, it’s hard work, it keeps you fit, it’s a challenge. This is just a bit more capable than my Beady. I might stick gears on if it overlaps too much with the Beady.
👉🏻 Cosmic Purple - A brand new, psychedelic colour that we’re thinking of offering. What do you reckon?
👉🏻 Short travel - 120mm rear/130mm front. Being under-biked is fun. More people should ride short travel.
👉🏻 FAST tyres - Nobby Nic’s are fast rolling and just grippy enough. No drag, scary when it’s steep and tech. So much fun.
👉🏻 Lovely Fox Suspension - we’re now offering the Mini Murmur with a Fox air shock, so, makes sense for me to ride one.
