Update on the M2 Teewing Turbo Force setup:
I finally got the Cane Creek IL coil dialed in and it works well enough for the bike, but I wouldn’t recommend it for anything beyond trail riding. It gets overwhelmed pretty quickly in rock gardens and especially on repeating hits — Tennessee root gardens laugh at it.
Luckily I had the PUSH Eleven Six shock that was on my Pivot Switchblade sitting around. Even though it’s optimized for the Switchblade, I threw it on the Force and it’s been awesome. It handles everything the IL coil couldn’t without drama. Really impressed so far. When I pulled the IL shock off the bike, I found that the coil had been making slight contact with the frame, luckily just enough to scratch the paint but another reason to skip the IL.
Still on the fence with the fork though — I pulled the air spring to reduce the volume and discovered the adjustable piston was missing. It’s on the way so I can try it out; I’ll report back once it’s installed.
Overall the Cane Creek suspension has been a bit disappointing, but the new Avinox M2 is straight-up insane. 130 Nm in Turbo mode will put a smile on your face on the climbs. What’s even better is how smooth and controlled the power delivery is. I’ve been riding it nearly every day and I’m genuinely stoked every time I hop on 😎 #dripebikes #teewingbikes #pushindustries
Said good by to my Teewing Force this morning. The plan was to keep it until my Flux arrived. Well I’m still Fluxless for a while but was lucky enough to have this land in my lap. I’ll be doing some suspension testing on this sweet Turbo Force Team M2 bike sporting Cane Creeks IL coil shock and Helm MK2 for Darren at Drip E-bikes. Managed to get out early on the @teewingbikes Flux on some classic Wharncliffe trails this morning 👊 The Flux One A absolutely rips and @fast.suspension have done an incredible job of the rear shock. @pembreeuk GCS cockpit is taking centre stage in this POV and for good reason it’s solid stuff and it works really well and looks so goooosdd 😍 @schwalbetires radial tyres are very good. I just need to swap out these OG Mavens …. Will have to give them another bleed if I want to get again tomorrow 🙌🙌
