This moment right here… I had forgotten all about this image until @ctmollere sent it to me the day @bobweir embarked on his next adventure. One Big Holiday 2014. Bobby had already played his festival and stayed around after to have some fun with us. We were kicking around song ideas and decided to tackle the @gratefuldead “I Know You Rider.” His only direction was “I want the whole band energy to come down to a whisper for the verse starting with ‘I wish I was a headlight, on a northbound train.’ When I sing that line again, I want you all to come back in full force.” I don’t think that he took into account that @mymorningjacket can be a very loud band. When he started that second line, I totally let it rip…we all did…and the energy that took over his body was so moving…so brilliant. He let out this scream “wooooooooooooooo” that I’ll NEVER forget. It was literally the same scream as the one at the end of the first verse of “St. Stephen.” That was the moment it went from “I’m playing with Bob Weir” to “dear god…I’m sharing a moment with the energy of the Grateful Dead.” I get chills just writing about it. After the song was over, he walked back to me shaking his head…he looked me in the eyes and said “Beautiful.” And then a loving fist bump.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

As we close down this year, I want to leave you all with a little token of my gratitude. The Tour Life 2025 Playlist (link in bio) is available on Spotify, and it’s a gradual accumulation of what I’ve been listening to on the road this year. It is very much all over the place (which is how I usually listen to music) and is meant to be played on shuffle, but I hope it brings you much joy. We are so honored to be even a small part of its wondrous history and are so thrilled to be coming back again - FOR 7 NIGHTS!!! TBT FRIDAY EDITION!!!
At about week three of a tour, everyone starts to get a little loopy. Bus sleep isn’t real sleep. Your environment changes at lightening speed. The “missing of the loved ones” meter is at full tilt. But when your bandmates are also your family, you find little things to make each other laugh. If there is one thing I love about @removador@sometomguy@worldbofree and @carlbroemel , we laugh constantly. Brilliantly hilarious human beings, every one of them. These three videos are 2015, 2014, and 2025 examples of a game that has no name, but everyone knows what to do when the time is right. Any ideas on what we should call it?

3) This is one of my favorite family photos. This is Flora’s first attempt at “smiling for the camera.” Everything takes practice🤣. Also, @brigid.hallahan ’s beauty, inner and outer, has always made me “love nervous.”
4) Watching children interact with instruments is one of my favorite pastimes. No fear. All curiosity and instinct. So beautiful. This is three-year-old Flora with her constant companions, Hop Hop and Bun Bun.
5) Flora as “Kiki” from “Kiki’s Delivery Service.” This shot took 17 attempts, but so worth it.
6) This is from the last night of the @mymorningjacket@nathanielrateliff and The Night Sweats tour. We sat in on each other’s sets each night, and here we are waiting side stage and walking out for the final encore. I LOVE these moments. You can feel the mutual love. A hug so hard it knocked my camera down. I miss seeing those faces every day.

7) During the @vanessacarltonactual “Love Is An Art” recording sessions at Tarbox Studios, I got to build this kit to record the very drum heavy chorus of“The Only Way To Love.” Also pictured here are the incredible David and Michael Fridmann….true pioneers of the sonic realm.
This week’s moment of gratitude is for my brother, @vhsorbeta . During a polar vortex, he’s out hand delivering kits of his famous Pho Ga. Community is everything. Thank you, Craig!❤️✨✨✨

Thinking back on 2025, one of my favorite memories was getting to honor the @gratefuldead at the @musicares persons of the year ceremony. @mymorningjacket and @iammaggierose were paired up to cover “One More Saturday Night” and we had ALL of the fun, you all. Instant friends. The backstage of the event was so fun…so many old friends and amazing artists I’d never met before. One of the more hilarious memories, though, was finding a jewel-handled knife and shooting some videos using it as an analog filter. It’s what you do with your downtime that really counts, right?? The icing on the cake, though, was getting to catch up with @bobweir for a few minutes at the end of the night…what a wonderful human being.❤️✨❤️✨❤️✨❤️ 📷: @dannybones64 . 🎥: ME!
