Happy 15 years to Bring on the Comets. I will always wonder what might have happened with the campaign on this record had the plug not been pulled so early. With a 2nd single and video on deck and big national and international tours it was pretty brutal getting the news our label had been bought and budgets were slashed. Just like that. That’s the biz though. I still have fond memories of making this record. Bun is one of favorite dishes from Vietnam. The lemongrass marinated pork shoulder is legit one of my favorite bites in Asian cuisine. The bun noodles are served room temp over a bed of lettuce( I’m using the romaine here because it offers a crunch I like but I don’t like bean sprouts in my bun). Over the noodles are the pork, fresh mint/cilantro, pickled carrot/daikon, sliced cucumber, crushed peanuts, and fried shallots. The nuoc cham really brings the whole dish together. Salty. Sweet. Acidic. Slightly spicy. I’m going to prepare this so you just pour it over the bowl, mix it up, and eat! I can’t wait to share it with you! See you Sunday @canaryclublou !!

Damn. We did it. Pop up one is in the books and I’m super stoked on how it went. My love for chicken soup runs deep and it meant a lot to me that I was able to share that with some of you all. Was it perfect? Nope. Plenty of room to grow but grateful that you all gave me a chance. I’m booking a few more in the next few months and I’ll be sure to share the details with you when they solidify. Thanks to @canaryclublou for the leap of faith and @jazzbipley for his help in the kitchen. See ya soon!
