Work for @doclothingco , the Tech Wrap ! The brief was to showcase its weatherproof qualities and premium textiles in wet conditions. We wanted to be able to control the weather - so doing so we built a rain rig , in an empty warehouse where we could control the rain and the lighting . As always , it didn’t come with out its challenges , the warehouse had skylights , which we couldn’t neg, so we tried to control the light as much as possible , using @aputure.lighting and lots of negative we managed to achieve a look close enough to what we wanted . Then managed to add more of the look in the grade using @davinciresolvestudios . A few frames from the latest shoot in the studio. 🎥 The brief - slow motion sexiness . Make it look cool as fuck. As always , shoots come with challenges , as a creator we want to create the best work we can, but are some times limited with what we have available to us. Without the use of a high frame rate cameras like the phantom or Freefly ember , we had to do what we could to get as slow motion as possible . Normally we get out and shoot on location in the elements , but this time we went for something a little different . Loved the art direction and brief from Meg and after a bit of tweaking I feel we really nailed the lighting . New work for @prodirectsoccer - SOFT GROUND SEASON. This one was one of those shoots , where nothing really goes to plan . The rain was pouring from start to finish , making conditions tricky to film in, even setting up lights and equipment was a nightmare. Being a soft ground / winter ad , you might think this was perfect- but not so much . The pitch was on a slight slope , which meant even on our tallest wind up stand , the light in the background wasn’t high enough to imitate a flood light as planned . The rain lashing down the entire time meant we couldn’t put up scrims or the gel frame to shoot the key light through , which I wanted to soften, to make it look more like moon light - but , we had a plan and you have to adapt . We adapted, and all though not perfect, I was still pretty happy with the result for a single shot ad. Latest work for @doclothingco . The brief was to create an authentic , realistic gym feel that hero’ed the DO product. A key part of that was showcasing the products in their truest form — highlighting the features, the fabric technologies, and the way they move. By capturing authentic movement, the energy of real athletes, and the emotion that lives in these spaces to create a product video that screamed authenticity.
