Today was a magical one! Thank you so much to everyone who came to visit our studio today, we truly appreciate the support and it’s always so nice to see everyone.
Sometimes when I light the fire of the kiln and enter the rhythm of stoking the wood, it dawns on me how elemental this process is. Fire, earth, water and human energy. I’m taken aback that this is the life we live and without all of your support it’s not possible, so thank you!
We are open again tomorrow, Sunday December 14th, 10am until 5pm. There are so many beautiful pots from this latest firing and still fresh pots coming out of the kiln!
We will be open for our annual Christmas Market on the 13th & 14th of December, from 10am until 5pm. A whole new firing will be available of some of my most festive work yet!

EXHIBITION // As we get closer to the opening of "ODE - to Gwyn" on Friday 1 August, we shine a spotlight on the contemporary ceramists who have been inspired by the legacy of the late Gwyn Hanssen Pigott. Today we step into the studio of Angus McDiarmid (Pan Pottery).
Nestled on the quiet shores of Lake Weyba, ceramicist Angus McDiarmid works in rhythm with the land. His studio, hand-built and open to the elements, is a space where tradition meets raw material. Clay is dug from the earth, pots are shaped on a kick wheel, and each piece is fired in a wood kiln that leaves its own unpredictable signature.
McDiarmid’s practice is deeply personal, shaped by years of travel through South America, India, and the Himalayas, where encounters with traditional craft left a lasting imprint. His work is functional, sculptural, and always grounded in the philosophy that making is living.

Over the winter solstice we fired our kiln. We are excited to share these pots online, live from 6pm Sunday 20th July. Our latest collection of mugs, bowls, vases and more. We fired with a mixture of eucalyptus and melaleuca that has given these pots such warm beautiful hues. This is the first time in three years our pots have been available online, we hope you love them.

This weekend July 5th & 6th marks 25 years of @quixoticaartspace ! It’s an occasion celebrating this incredible art space that has inspired, nurtured, taught and shared so much with so many.
@quixoticaartspace is having a show with pots from selected makers of the past 25 years. Opening at midday until 7pm on Saturday the 5th of July and midday until 4pm on Sunday the 6th.
