Flower frogs are such a great way to display flowers - they not only make sure your flowers aren’t too crowded, but they extend your bunch further and they’re lots of fun to arrange 🌸
Here’s some tips for styling your flower frog this festive season…
Start by stripping the stems: remove excess leaf matter to extend freshness and cut your stems to your desired length. I like to use bigger blooms first to frame the arrangement - I’ve used dahlias here but you could choose roses, lisianthus, sunflowers, banksias or whatever takes your fancy. From there, starting filling in gaps with smaller blooms or foliage. Experiment with different textures and heights to see what works for you. There’s really no rules, so have fun making your own unique arrangements 🩷
Limited quantities of flower frogs are currently available through our website. All parcels are currently being sent express - order before Monday 22 for delivery before Christmas Day 🤗
We are thrilled to be back at the Great Artist Market this Saturday 18 October! From 9am to 3pm you’ll catch us at the front of the Felons Barrel Hall with a whole heap of new ceramic goodies 🌸. TGAM is our absolute favourite Brissie event - we just love the great energy, good tunes and amazing people who make it special. AND… it’s one of the last times Brissie locals can shop Beansprout in person for the rest of the year so we’re looking forward to seeing you there 🤗 @thegreatartistmarket@felonsbarrelhall
@beansproutstudio_ is the creative home of ceramic artist Anwen, who handcrafts every piece on the pottery wheel in her Peregian Beach studio on the Sunshine Coast.
Working with high-fired stoneware and handmade glazes, Anwen designs functional, durable ceramics made to be used and loved daily. Inspired by nature and her love of plants, her work reflects organic tones, simple forms, and an appreciation for clay as a natural material.

Designed to aid your creative process, these handcrafted painting palettes are a special addition to any artist’s toolkit. There’s something special about using handmade tools to create new pieces of art 🥰
Painting palettes are now available through the online store! I'll also have a range of these available at @thegreatartistmarket in 3 weeks at @felonsbarrelhall
I recently had a collection of teapots on display @artisanqld as part of their 'Exit through the Teapot' exhibition. The showcase was a partnership with @butterfactoryartscentre where a range of artists presented a diverse range of teapots, celebrating the beauty of these everyday objects.
I now have a small collection of teapots available through the website 🫖

I use several different stoneware clays in my practice to achieve different surfaces in a finished piece. The high iron content in this unfired work gives these bowls their beautiful pink-ish tone, which transforms into a sandy colour when fired to 1280 degrees Celcius. After the first firing, these pieces will be covered in glazes that are carefully chosen to enhance the clay's natural properties.
Lots of new work in progress!
