necronym is born
the first song that materialized for the album was school pool. i started writing the lyrics in 2018, before honeymood was even out. the rest of necronym slowly pieced together over the years until 2021, when we recorded the album in philadelphia in very philadelphia fashion (it was like 100° and all of the walls were exposed. great news for drywall haters, terrible news for the upright bass that only lived to play wasp and then immediately snapped in half)
but...it's 2025? if you can imagine something that interrupted this album, it probably happened. the journey over the last 4 years to finish and release necronym has been a wild and heartbreaking ride. we are so proud to bring it to you now. i think, despite all the bonkers shit, necronym turned out better than i ever could have imagined.
we can't wait to play the album in full for you at bookclub tonight. thank you to everyone who worked on this album with us and thank you to every single person who stuck around and hyped us up, especially andy from
@boundarywatersband who said like 8 of the nicest things ive ever heard about our music over the last 4 years.
