Thursday night was a powerful reminder of what it means to show up for one another. For over a decade, our work has been rooted in welcoming immigrant and refugee families in Charlotte – creating spaces where kids and families can feel a true sense of belonging. This recognition belongs to the thousands of community members, partners, and families who continue to build something stronger and better for our community every day!
To be recognized alongside so many leaders and trailblazers is deeply meaningful. Thank you to @hispanic_federation and to EVERYONE who stands with us in this work 💙

Last Friday, we came together to celebrate the incredible moms and families in our OB community 🎻
We spent the evening with the @cltsymphony while enjoying some empanadas and fresas con crema. Families also had the chance to browse dresses and jewelry to take home for their special occasions.
A huge thank you to the Charlotte Symphony for such a beautiful performance for our families!

This past Saturday, we held our annual Dress Extravaganza event alongside @despierta.clt 💙🩷
Thanks to incredible community support, we were able to distribute 100+ prom dresses for free, including 50+ casual dresses and 60+ pounds of both makeup and jewelry to feel ready for their special night 💃
To us, what stood out the most was the joy in the room. As students tried on dresses, and began to picture their prom night. Moments like these are why we do what we do.

Our annual Beautification Day was one for the books 💙
As 46 incredible community members spent their morning refreshing our East space—painting lines on the basketball court, refreshing our outdoor sensory garden, and helping organize and clean our site.
We’re so grateful to everyone who showed up and gave our space a fresh boost.

As Afterschool Professionals Appreciation Week comes to an end,
We wanted to highlight our afterschool staff as they continue to create spaces where kids can just be themselves. They work with them on homework, make sure everyone has a warm, culturally familiar meal, and get them to and from our program safely. They plan hands-on activities, support growing literacy and confidence, and show up each day in ways that let every BRIDGE Kid know they belong here 🩷
